The Shield

Got hold of Season 1 pretty cheap and raced through it within a week.
Noticed amazon have seasons 1-7 for like 30 quid but people are moaning about some editing on them.
Without spoiling any of the show for me, are these edits that bad the set's not worth buying?

IIRC it's only the season 5 and 6 finales which are affected though 5 is particularly butchered. Something like twenty minutes was cut out which will confuse you moving onto season 6.

Still buy it, but make sure to 'aquire' the uncut season 5 finale. There's almost half an hour missing in the one on the UK DVD.

Erm, copyright infringement. I'm pretty sure it's against Netflix's terms of service.

I've searched it with no result other than related stuff.
EDIT: Just read posts below the one I quoted, I take it it's only on the U.S. Netflix then? Sod that, I might as well find somewhere to stream it, though that's more of a hassle now that Virgin are blocking all of the popular streaming sites.
Pretty crap Netflix ain't providing The Shield to UK viewers.
Another Edit: Lovefilm has all seasons, though it's probably the badly edited ones as it does list it as 'boxsets' on their site?

The Shield isn't currently on the US site either.
It's on the Canadian site though and it's unedited.
Just use Hola Unblocker to temporarily change your Netflix region for free:

We bought the complete set of this and finished watching it last night. Superb stuff.
Interesting to hear there are bits missing, there did seem to be some plot holes near then end.

I've been watching this on my commute for a while now
I'm now on the final few episodes of season 7, i can tell my next few train journeys are going to be dramatic. I can't wait!
