If I have to watch it in 4:3 I’ll not be amused. I really hope someone has picked it up. gooseberry fool I’ll even buy a month sub or whatever to wherever it goes.
14 episodes long but the first 7 drag slightly compared to the final 7
Two of the most iconic TV show moments are Vic getting his immunity deal without the Fed realising just what a gift they offered him as he proceeds to state all of the illegal things he's done
And the devastation of Ronnie as he learns Vic totally betrayed him and he'll be in jail for life.
The other "OMFG" moments clearly go to Captain Aceveda being raped and Shane murdering Lem with a grenade.
Side plots and thoughts
Like many shows filmed before smartphones, I still think "this show would be dramatically different knowing everyone's walking around with the ability to film in 4k 60fps". The Barn only seems to have 1 computer even in later seasons.
Always seemed ridiculous that the camera and mic in the interrogation rooms can be so easily unplugged.
The Julian is gay then represses himself / has church conversion therapy that mostly works just works would not fly today. The wife is basically not seen at all in later seasons.
Tavon gets written out for several seasons only to make a late appearance in season 7.
Mara is an incredibly annoying character.
Forest Whittaker season is probably the best. Would have loved to have seen a season 7 clip have Claudette or someone tell him he was 100% right about Vic
Near the end of our rewatch of the first series. I'd forgotten Dutch actually got the serial killer, and the bit where every one was watching him on the monitor to rip the piss out of him was horrible, but when he got him and every one cheered for him, I actually said out loud "Yes! Go on Dutch!"
