Are there any other people here eager to join me on my mission to gain weight? Anyone who was thin but is now a bloater? Add to your post count here!

Why? NHS' BMI calculator says that's the normal weight for that height.

I'm pretty sure the BMI calculator is wrong. And even if it's right, I have room to manouvre upwards in the weight stakes. I wonder what I would look like two stones heavier.

I don't ever post my photo on the interwebs, ruins all the mystique. ;)

And I like my food. I'm another one with a 'lucky' metabolism.

I had this when I was 19, used to eat packets of crisps, biscuits and multiple chocolate bars everyday at work and not put on any weight. Not any more though, I have one packet of crisps a day and a choccie bar plus fruit and a bit of veg with lunch.

6'1" and 10st. I enjoy making others feel bad by eating whatever the hell I feel like and never gaining a pound. It's the life of a king. :D

O RLY. I'm 5"10 and I'm around 8.5-9 stone. It changes a lot but according to Wii Fit my BMI never goes far over 17.

Seeing as that is really similar to me, I'm guessing 17 is bad. But I get to live like the aforementioned king so :D

You need to go back to eating all those cheese slices.

This but replace the 5' 9" with the 6' 1" mentioned on the first page.

I'm off to get a Munchies ice cream and watch as my waist line does absolutely nothing as consequence!

People with fast metabolism need to beware though. If you do eat a lot of crap at the moment, when your metabolism slows as you get older, you'll find it a struggle.

strawberry floaters.

I'm 6ft and around 15 stone. Not that I can claim to eat healthily, but I eat no worse than the majority of my friends, if not better than a few and they are all slimmer with one exception. I keep convincing myself I'll get in shape, but then I remember how good pizza is.

I'm fairly thin, but not massively so. I'm 5' 8" and 9 stone 10 lbs, with a BMI of about 21..

The best thing to do is consume more calories, either by eating more, or taking protein shakes. Obviously, if you don't want the extra calories to turn into fat, you're gonna have to do physical activity by joining a gym, working out at home (what I do) or doing sport (etc).

Just be grateful you're not fat. I am.

I'm around 180cm tall, and I weigh around 63 kg. I think those were the correct measurements. Anyway, after struggling to gain weight over the past 2 and a half years, I'm finally considered a healthy weight! :D

I don't really care if I'm still really skinny, I'm just glad I've managed to put weight on.

When I was 18 (10 years ago) I was 6ft and 9.5 stone.

I was skinny.

But times change. I'm now just under 14 stones, but certainly not fat, I'd say I'm extremely fit.

Over time you'll start to put on weight.

I'm 5'9" and I was 8.5 stone for years and years. I managed to het up to 10.5 when I had my lazy, sit down job but lost it all when I went back to working in public libraries.

I hate being skinny and it doesn't help that my body is out of proportion.
