Jen if this isn't getting you excited for Voyager, you're not a true Trekkie. :slol:

Love it.
Onto the one where the Doctor becomes a singing sensation.

Voyager is gloriously silly at times.

This is why I love it! You can't be too far away from the fight of the century, Seven of Nine vs. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, either.

It's the one after the next one I'm going to watch.

Yes! Amazing!

Jenuall wrote:Darmok - Great episode, any chance to get Patrick Stewart to show off his acting chops is always going to be a winner and this episode does it with aplomb. Central premise is great and the way that Picard goes about developing his understanding of the Tamarian language is so great to watch play out. Obviously if you start thinking about it too much then you can pick holes in the Tamarian language concept - how do they express quick and direct needs, requirements or warnings for example? "DUCK!" is a lot easier to shout at someone about to get hit in the head than "Hestan and Belmar in the forest", but I can overlook that because the episode is so good!

Ah yes, the episode that predicted meme culture decades before it happened.

Maybe human communication will be like that in the future. I just can't understand why it took them so long to figure out how to communicate with them.

He only had a day to work it out though. Can you imagine trying to communicate with us if all we said was "over there by the beefburgers"?

Got onto the Rock episode of Voyager.

He's still got his 00's hair.

Also Jeffrey Combs (Weyoun) and JG Hertlzer (Martok) from DS9 are in it as well. Great cast. :D

Has anyone watched Lower Decks? Is it as utterly terrible as it appears?

So it's been getting good reviews across the board apparently - I haven't seen much on it but I'll go in with an open mind.

I've been enjoying it. I'm not going to pretend it's anything amazing but it's alright and it feels more like TNG/DS9/VOY than any of the newer stuff has. It's trying a little too hard to be "Rick and Morty" or something like that, but it's fine.

It's sad that a show has to be amazing to be seen as worth bothering with.
I've not seen Lower Decks and I'm not expecting it to be amazing but being just good or ok will be fine with me I think.

It's just a shame I can't watch it on any of the services I pay for.

Neither can I. I watch it anyway. It's fun, and it's also fun trying to spot all the little callbacks and references.
