Maybe this week they'll turn the Founders hardcore Amish.

This'll sound mad but the nonsense of the series was almost worth it for the final scene between Picard and Q. Horribly written dialogue for Q in particular, but it put a smile on my face. I think John De Lancie always played the Q/Picard relationship as Q's weird idea of a friendship, and it's nice to have in-universe confirmation that Q genuinely regarded him highly. Also smiled in spite of myself at the absolutely needless cameo from Wesley - it's nice to have his stupid Traveller story arc codified in some way.

And thanks to Hexx for the info as well! :D

it also explains WWs weirdness about all the other TNG cast, bar him, being announced for Season 3

Goddamn they really rewarded viewers of the first three seasons of DS9 with the beginning couple of episodes of S4. The Visitor still remains absolute top tier Star Trek.

Don't tell me it had cameos of Nelix, Wesley Crusher, Keiko O'Brien and Naomi Wildman  .

What an episode that must have been. All four of them, alone in a bottle episode talking about how amazing they are.
Yes, I think I fondly remember that episode and it was still better than Picard.

I love that they animated arguably the worst episode of Voyager.

Anyone been watching The Orville s3? It’s gotten into a good groove of mixing classic Trek and McFarlane humour. Really enjoying it so far.

Yeah I’m guessing you haven’t watched much of it if that’s what you think it is - the Family Guy humour very much takes a back seat. I’ve found it to be a genuinely great homage to classic TNG era Trek. The new season has been very strong so far as well.

I'm waiting for it to finish it's run then I'm gonna binge it.

Gives Strange New Worlds time to wrap up as well.

Good shout. I’m struggling to get through “proper” Star Trek at the moment for various reasons but I still really love The Orville so it’s on my weekly watch list.

Not that The Orville is terrible or anything but if you're after that classic Trek Strange New World's is really good.

Paramount+ Trek content at launch - Wed 22nd June

Strange New Worlds, Episodes 1-3, with new episodes added each Wednesday
Prodigy Episodes 1-10
Discovery Seasons 1-4

https://blog.trekcore.com/2022/06/param ... h-details/

While Strange New Worlds is the main draw, I will continue to advocate for Prodigy. It's really good.

Definitely looking forward to the Paramount+ launch since I'll finally get around to being able to watch Strange New Worlds and Halo.

Well, signed up for Paramount+ (Though I'm gonna ditch it before the 7-day trial ends).

Trek wise they've got almost everything as far as I can tell.

Original Series
The Next Generation
Deep Space Nine
Voyager
Enterprise
Discovery
Prodigy
Strange New Worlds
Movies 1-10
Star Trek (2009)

It does appear to be missing The Animated Series, Lower Decks, ST: Into Darkness and ST: Beyond.
Also TNG is missing Encounter at Farpoint for some reason. There may be other missing episodes that I've not seen.

I can't 100% confirm the line-up as the search function doesn't seem to be working on my PC right now. So there might be some more stuff there.

But I'm surprised to see TNG, DS9 etc all there day one. It's definitely all coming off Netflix as soon as they can.

Edit: Also missed Picard from the list of absent shows. I think that show gave me PTSD and my brain refuses to acknowledge it exists.

Encounter at Farpoint is now there for TNG.

So 4 episodes into Prodigy and I'm enjoying it overall but does Dal get any better?
Because so far he's an utterly insufferable prick.

He does.

EDIT: Just to be clear, he get's a bit better but he's still just a kid (As they all are) and as such will remain slightly annoying.

I really enjoyed Prodigy. Has more heart and more soul than any of the live action Nu-Trek has (At least till SNW). Plus it's currently on a bit of a cliffhanger while we wait for the rest of season one, so I'm really looking forward to that.
