Ok. I'll bite:

It fails on the basic level of story telling because the entire event it's building up to - the foundation of the federation and Archer's speach in this case, but you don't have to be a Star Trek fanboy in this case, it's basic story structure - isn't shown on screen. You see it completely happening from afar.

It fails because a character dies for no other reason than to create a moment, for a (to the original character) unknown person watching his actions. That's not an emotional pay off, it's pure manipulation in an attempt to create gravitas.

It's a terrible use of a framing device for no descernable reason. There's no need for them, they add nothing.

It's an awful example of how to put together a TV episode - without even mentioning any element of Trek. You don't have to be a "fanboy" to see the massive flaws in it's production.

Terra Prime was good, we should consider that the finale. These are the voyages would make a decent episode, but not good for ending a show. Incidentally, The Pegasus was a superb episode.

Just what about it would make it a decent episode? What redeeming feature has it got?

I want to know what about the episode anybody could possibly see as anything other than a god awful mess.

I like the way it was woven into The Pegasus, mainly because that episode is brilliant, but also because the theme of loyalty was important for both crews in the same episode. It gave some light on how events would happen after the NX-01 was scrapped which I also enjoyed.

But it had nothing to do with The Pegasus. I can't see how the final ever episode of Enterprise can be made into nothing more than a Riker episode, when Riker is nothing to bloody do with it.
These are the Voyagers is a badly written mess.

Now after Season 4, which was by far the best written season of the entire show, that episode just a total disgrace.
It made the characters fly totally in the face of their established characterisation. It totally threw away 4 years of gradually building romance between Trip and T'Pol as well. 4 years of emotional investment thrown away right from the very start. No explanation, nothing.

As I said, I view Terra Prime to be the real finale. I quite enjoyed TATV though. Perhaps if they hadn't wasted so much time on the Xindi they would have been able to develop absolutely everything properly.

They "wasted time" with the Xindi because the third season arc was about the Xindi, and there was plenty of development there. These Are The Voyages is an abomination.

Because Riker having a midlife crisis on the Holodeck isn't a finale for Enterprise.

Probably should have put a smiley on the end there. It is pretty bad, especially when you look at season 4 and how good it became. Shocking end to a show that deserved better.

Wonder how much tickets will cost? Will need to buy atleast 2 tickets and hopefully find a friend to go with

There are going to be stunt displays, we are going to recreate some sets, and get some original sets. People will be able to sit on the starship bridge with members of the cast

A standard 3-day ticket is only about £50. I suspect you'll still be able to get most of the other stuff, but it'll involve a lot of queing up and probably an on-the-day fee.

I was almost tempted by the Silver Pass, but after reading that the In-Person Autographs don't include any of the main guests, then I don't see the point. I doubt a Stunt Show ticket and a Bridge Photo shoot will cost £175 seperately.
