Any one interested should know that we've just started on Voyager with our watch through so a great time to jump in!

Twovix started off pretty good, nice callbacks to Voyager and it's good that they've confirmed that Janeway murdered Tuvix . Overall though, this show still doesn't do anything for me, I just don't get the appeal of Star Trek: Rick and Morty.

I Have No Bones Yet I Must Flee was better overall, but the humour still falls completely flat for me. The menagerie thing obviously calls back to the Cage, but I guess it was also a homage to the Animated series episode where humans were kept as zoo exhibits. Interesting idea, but not explored any further here, just WACKY FUN!

;)

I personally think Lower Decks is quite different to Rick and Morty. It has a much more positive tone and is noticeably less edgy overall. It ties itself to classic-style Trek in a very earnest way.

Yeah, it's more Rick and Morty for cowards. ;)

This weeks Lower Decks was amazing again. Laughed so much at so many different points.

Again another absolutely fantastic episode of Lower Decks. T'lin as well is such a great character to add to the cast and she's been added absolutely fantastically.

I'm catching up with Strange New Worlds at last. A lot of enjoyable episodes so far, and I just watched the Lower Decks crossover episode, which I thought was very good.

Yeah Lower Decks has been great so far.

T'Lin is a nice addition to the group and the promotions have shaken up the dynamic a little which helps.

I liked that we got some more character development for Tendi as well. I like that she was expected to grow up to be a Pirate but instead went her own path as a scientist. In most things it would be the other way around.
I'm beginning to think that Lower Decks is going to be the show that finally gets the Orions right. In the same way DS9 rehabilitated the Ferengi from a bad joke, LD appears to be doing it for the Orions. For a species that have been prominent in Star Trek ever since the first pilot, they've been surprisingly under-used. Same with the Gorn but SNW has that covered. :D

:D

Yeah the crossover was great fun. My only complaint was Boimler just looked "off". Something about giving him the purple hair and makeup they used. Maybe it was to make him look a bit cartoonish, but I just found it distracting.

@Cheeky Devlin -- Ha, yeah, I see what you mean! I noticed his weird hair a couple of times too. I think it would have been fine to leave it black in live-action... or commit fully to it being purple.

I thought the two actors deserved some serious props (badum-tsh) as it can't be easy to go from voice-acting to live action. IMO they did a great job carrying the energy of the characters over.

The joke at the end about the Orion hurricanes was really fantastic.

I love the fact that at the end she's explaining the photos and she got hit by a fourth knife we didn't see

Something Borrowed, Something Green.

Boimler/Rutherford stuff was shite.

The Tendi stuff was actually ok. I quite enjoyed learning more about the Orion's. Although I could have done without the "haha Mariner keeps getting stabbed" bollocks.

Here's the next two "Very Short Treks".

Hope they're funnier than the first was.

When fans can make this, but Paramount won't shell out the money to redo the effects work for DS9 and Voyager. :(

EDIT: To be clear the video was awesome. Want to see the next part when it's done. :D

Next Very Short Trek has released. Probably my favourite so far.
