Just watched the "Betazoid Menopause" episode where Troi's mum tries to get it on with Picard ...and Wesley ... and Worf .. and Riker (obvs :datass: )

Props to Picard for deploying Data as a cock block through, a very effective technique!

Surprised Data didn't tap that with his robo dick.

Well he is "fully functional" and programmed in multiple techniques. :datass:

Y'all talking about Riker being the ultimate lothario, when my man Data is there, with his erotic sexy programming and his knowledge of caring for pussies.

I'm on season three currently watching the Captain's Holiday, I'm quite sad the plots kicked in, I was enjoying shirty Captain Picard.

I've been trying to get into Star Trek for a while. Never really watched any of the TV stuff, although I do remember getting one of the VHS board games and I liked the vibe that gave off. Still, my first proper experience was the 2009 film which I loved. I don't think I'm necessarily looking for big budget and action, but so far I've watched the first two seasons of the original series, and about half of TNG and I just can't get into it. So many of the episodes seem to be set in some bizarre world that is essential earth from a different era. I'm going to try and pick up the recommendations from LetswatchStarTrek.com and see if that improves things!

I'm a fan of the franchise, but there is some absolute strawberry floating guff in it. I would continue watching TNG, but using an episode guide is good.

Then go back and watch the episode where Crusher bangs a ghost.

TOS had a lot of alternate Earth stuff, simply due to budget and special effect constraints.

Mid-TNG onwards is the best way to get away from that kind of stuff really.

Who wouldn't bang a ghost given the chance?

I've started going back through TNG with the wife (she is a massive Trek fan)and holy gooseberry fool the first season is so poor in places. It's great to watch and really of it's time, but really, the plots are hilariously weird.

The first and second seasons of TNG are mostly awful. Thank god it got better.

Season 1 is almost entirely gooseberry fool, 2 has some genuinely great episodes but they are still buried in amongst a sea of average to bad offerings.

I should be done with season 2 tonight so am looking forward to what comes next. Season 3 is when Starfleet issue the crew with new uniforms right?

Be fair now, if that had said "hey check out this slight sense of whimsy" then I'd have been all over the toot emoji, but they didn't!
