Hey! So, someone took that Pod Racer game from waaay back (N64?), and put it into Unreal Engine 4.

I would really like to see a proper Frostbite engine Pod Racer, developed by Criterion, because who the hell else are you gonna call for a project like that?

That looks amazing. I have no idea why they’ve not thought of remastering Episode 1 Pod Racer, was a great game on the N64 from what I can remember, I’d buy that in a parsec (Yes I know a parsec is a unit measuring distance not time!)

While I haven't played the N64 game, I have played the arcade version [where you'd be in a pod with the two levers for control]. I do terrible every time I've played it, but I'd certainly love for a new game for modern times. In fact, it was one of the things I mentioned when I did a post about new games for the franchise - but including other racing series in with it, such as speeder/swoop races or starship racing [like on the Resistance show]. Perhaps even introducing a new type of races not seen before. Just flesh out the motorsport options available within the galaxy.

With less than twenty days to go, the main events of Celebration Chicago have been announced!

As ever, the main movie is kicking things off - so that's an hour dedicated to finding out about Episode 9. The Clone Wars, The Mandalorian, Rebels, and Resistance will all have panels, and EA will be showcasing Jedi: Fallen Order. All the times are in CDT, so add five hours for GMT [and six for BST whenever the clocks go forward].

Image of the voice actor behind a certain menacing character featured in the Mandalorian, recording with what looks like footage of the show playing for him to record to: Link.

(That's Taika Waititi, director of Thor Ragnarok and Hunt for The Wilderpeople! He's voicing IG-88 too if that image is accurate.)

I know that that Thor film is supposed to be really good, but I hadn't heard of the latter work. Was it good?

We don't know if IG-88 is in the show or not - there were several assassin droids just like him in the Clone Wars, but given the time period, it seems likely that it would be him. Could be some other assassin droid, though.

Hoping for an Episode IX panel appearance.

Hunt for the Wilderpeople is exceptional, and Thor is brilliant fun. Waititi is on fire at the moment.

Wilderpeople is one of my favourite films of the last 5 years. It's... Yeah. Exceptional.

Hayden Christensen enjoyed his time at the last Celebration, so he's probably going to enjoy this one too. Even if he gets bombarded by requests for sand-signing again.

Hopefully he'll get a sanding ovation.

I don't like Ad7. He's coarse and rough and irritating and he gets everywhere.

I'll be in Star Wars mode all month, as I engage Star Wars Month for the third year. Talk like Yoda, I will not, but I'll be covering Celebration and will have a few other things going over the month as well. It'll be my first time playing Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy for one. And the Battlefront thread already has a video of EA's second game showing the new mode and heroes available.
