Keeping everything contained within Tantiss, instead of having help from the outside, made it feel so much better than a rescue from outside its walls. The clones fighting back to rescue the Batch (even if they didn't all survive) was great. Nala Se making sure her research could no longer be used by the Empire was great, especially with how Rampart was there. And that final confrontation with Hemlock... Ooh, boy was that a good one. But damn! Why did Scorch have to go out like a chump?
I honestly kept expecting Tech to be shown at some point. It felt they were teasing it, with focus on that one CX trooper who mostly watched proceedings, but then nothing. Not even a helmet falling off after the Batch had left to reveal it to us even if the Batch themselves never found out.
And lastly, those final scenes. Everyone happy on Pabu, with a final conversation between Hunter and Omega. But then that extra final scene, seeing a time skip to around the time of the Rebellion, with another touching conversation between Hunter and Omega. Oof. How do they keep creating these final scenes with such emotion poured into them? Clone Wars Season 5, Rebels, Clone Wars Season 7, and now Batch Batch. Such great final scenes to end these series.
