This is set about a hundred years before Phantom Menace, as far as I know, and he was 65 in that movie, so I could maybe see a young Plagueis being in it, but Palps, probably not.

Just what the Star Wars universe needs. More young/old versions of characters we've already seen.

Plagueis hasnt been shown in the films, only mentioned, I believe

Thought the trailer looked ok, didn't wow me if I'm honest, but I'm hopeful the series will be superb once it's released.

Interesting episode, not the most action heavy, though it had its moments. Some decent character development, too.

Strong Apocalypse Now vibes from the airboat scenes, nice to get a little nod to the Jedi games (Haxion Brood), and Fennec is getting some much needed screen time - showing that she's not a "good guy" like other episodes may have portrayed her as.

I'm appreciating the way the show writers are handling Crosshair's trauma, too; it can't just be hand wave cured in one episode.

Well, that was a Bad Batch episode.

Ventress appearing and putting Omega through some Force-potential tests while the Batch just do not trust her makes for a good confrontation between the two. Ventress and Omega share some great interactions, but dammit her ending line of still having a few lives left just brings up so many questions which absolutely are being saved for other content. I would not be surprised if Tales of the Jedi S2 put some focus on Ventress despite the fact most of her life has been spent as anything but.

Again another fantastic episode. Bad Batch is without a doubt one of the best pieces of Star Wars media overall.

I really liked that episode, it was a nice low stakes story, giving the characters a much needed lore dump, and possibly perhaps setting up a future show or book.

Really enjoyed the Ventress/Clone fight, and the way Crosshair seems to be integrating better with the rest of the group, for Omega's sake if nothing else.

The possibility of Omega being strong in the Force, and the decision that that sets up for her, in terms of whether to stay with her family, or be trained, is interesting - highly reminiscent of the Mandalorian/Book of Boba Fett. I know Ventress lied so she could stay with the Clones, but this isn't something that's so easily resolved. I think we might be getting more character deaths, which will make that choice easier.

Oof. Those two episodes... So many gut-punches.

Seeing those kids held there, just wanting to go home. Get away from their prison. And then the fourth added to that number being just a small baby! But it does stand to reason that Emerie is going to provide help in some way now. The Marauder getting destroyed is... it's just a ship, but it's been through so much with the Batch that it's like the sixth member of the crew. At least Tech's goggles are preserved in the Hall of Treasures rather than being destroyed. Omega... Making a return to the place you were confined to protect the people of the place you considered home... And we don't even know if that's worked! This is going to be a long week waiting to find out what happened next, and I'm certain the same goes for every other episode, too.

This week's Bad Batch episodes were great.

Getting to drill down on characters steeped in dilemma has been one of this show's great strengths, and watching Emerie go through that was great. That, followed by Omega, finally able to exercise her agency, choosing to do the hard thing, the right thing, despite the cost to herself, was also great.

There was a lot of sadness and darkness in those episodes, a terrible sense of dread is building for the last episodes. But, there were touching moments, too, like Tech's goggles and Wrecker's Lula being donated to the Pabu museum.

Great stuff. Can't wait to see Omega meeting a changed Emerie.

The mark of a good hero ship, is how it grows to become, in effect, another member of the crew, despite often never uttering a word. I felt its loss, too, it was a great ship.

Oh, they actually did it! Tales of the Empire. And it looks to be providing some great stories from that trailer.

'Star Wars': Beau Willimon to Co-Write James Mangold’s Movie (Exclusive)

The feature will delve into the origins of the Force.

Very promising to see a co-writer attached to Dawn of the Jedi, especially one with Star Wars credentials - Beau is credited with writing Andor's prison arc.
