That looks awesome and is it just me being super hopeful or was that a hologram of Kyle Katarn? :toot:

Not sure, but that looks great.

I still disagree with them killing Jyn and Cassian at the end of rogue one though. I would have loved to see a sequel set between a new hope and empire.

Amazing trailer.

Mon Mothma and the early years of the Rebellion, the Imperial Senate, flashbacks to the Clone Wars, Cassian's Separatist origins, what looked like a group of Imperial scientists.

And I'm pretty sure the hologram is a young Cassian, too.

Skeleton Crew: Jude Law Will Headline The New Star Wars Series

The show from Spider-Man: Homecoming's creators was previously codenamed “Grammar Rodeo.”

Jude Law will star in a new Disney+ series set in the galaxy far, far away, opposite a group of four lost children trying to make their way back to their home planet.

The show, titled Skeleton Crew, was formally announced Thursday at the Star Wars Celebration fan event in Anaheim. Vanity Fair's recent cover story, Star Wars: The Rebellion Will Be Televised, revealed that it was being executive produced by director Jon Watts and writer Chris Ford, who worked together on Spider-Man: Homecoming for Marvel.

“It’s the story about a group of kids, about 10 years old, from a tiny little planet who accidentally get lost in the Star Wars galaxy,” Watts told the crowd. “It’s the story of their journey trying to find their way home.”

Yes, yes it was. Probably the biggest complaint I saw people (a vocal minority) voice over that one episode. People were expecting a 1:1 transition from the Clone Wars to Mandalorian, and did not like it when reality did not match their expectations.

I get that it takes a little getting used to, if you're used to the animated look, but damn, it's not a thing to get upset over.

A great first two episodes for Obi-Wan. Love how it's set things up. Now to watch it all play out.

As for Celebration - what were they thinking not streaming that headlining panel? The Goddamn opening panel of the entire event and it's not even streamed. Would have been a lot of fun seeing these reveals live with the crowds at the event. The livestream has been a lot of fun so far, with a few great interviews on the stage. And Ian McDiarmid's panel has been great. It's just unfortunate that this kind of sets things up for none of the headline panels of each day getting seen.

I don't think much of whatever company has been in charge of organizing this year's Celebration. The SW voice acting community has been really shafted this year, only a Bad Batch panel on Sunday and very few VA invites.

New show announced :o

It's live action and not another shitty CGI kids show that relies on having watched 1000 episodes of Clone Wars

It'll star a bunch of kids :?

I think it's more so the fact there's not much for them to be doing. As you say, there's barely any focus on the animated shows at all this time. No games to focus on. As much as people want them to appear, there's no reason to be here. Even talk panels... this is the least we've had on a Celebration. Ever. Hopefully next year - or whenever the next Celebration happens (hopefully announced at the end of this one) - things will be different.

No idea if it came from Celebration, but EA just dropped this teaser for Jedi Survivor.

Looks great. Takes place around the same time as Obi-Wan Kenobi, which is interesting, as it may end up referencing its events in dialogue, via the presence of the Grand Inquisitor in both, etc.

Posted in the Obi thread by mistake but I started watching The Clone Wars this morning and enjoyed the first episode. Can't wait to binge some more. Also started replaying Fallen Order and enjoying it much more this time.

The past week I've just been Star Wars every day, all the time. My wife's probably sick of it. Watched Boba Fett in two days as well

Oh, my word. You have to watch that Attack of the Clones 20th anniversary panel, even if you watch nothing else from Celebration. Even if just for the Temuera Morrison and Daniel Logan part. What a wild ride of comedy that was. I would want these two back doing a talk show panel next time. Just the two of them sharing stories and being themselves for an hour. It would be divine.

6 episodes, 15 minute episode run times, Clone Wars art style.

More info: Three stories about young Ahsoka, one featuring her mother. Three stories about young Dooku, during his Jedi career, at least one featuring young Qui-Gon.

Yesterday I said the best to come out of Clebration was the Attack of the Clones 20th panel, and that's still the case. But if you're interested in the design process of stuff, Doug Chiang's panel on designing The Mandalorian is well worth a watch. He has a whole lot of knowledge on that kind of stuff, and brings the stories of how this stuff came to be.

There might be fewer panels being shown on Celebration Live these days, but as long as panels like these two continue being shown, it's still a worthwhile event to have livestreamed. I just wish they would show more of them, like back in the 2016-2018 days.

strawberry floating hell I had to pause Obi Wan as the chasing after the kid scene is the dumbest gooseberry fool I've seen in Star Wars. It's like that Heavy Rain chase clip

It was so gooseberry fool. They'd have caught up in seconds, yet every camera cut set the pursuers back about 5 metres.
