There's a lot of amazing fan film around for franchises like star wars, transformers, power rangers etc. How on earth they get the funding as some of them must cost millions to make.

With enough time and energy you can do most of this gooseberry fool yourself for free to an amazing level if you have the talent. The reason movies and shows cost millions is you have to take into account the hundreds of people they pay to make everything in such a short time.

Astartes is a good example of this.

This was quite fun.

Video unavailable. I'm sure it's very exciting, though.

Looks like it's releasing a month later than expected, September 21st with three episodes to kick it off, rather than two on August 31st.

This is looking absolutely great. With this and Bad Batch, there's a lot of fleshing out the Imperial era and start of Rebellion in video media. I'm absolutely loving it all.

I think this is probably the best SW trailer since the first Rogue One one.

Rogue One stay winning.

Looks fantastic but I feel this is going to make me even more pissed off that they killed off the characters on rogue one so we will never get the sequel it deserved.

They would have been the perfect characters to explore side stories set in the original star wars timeline up to ROTJ.

Anybody else watched the Lego Star Wars: Summer Vacation movie yet? I thought it was a really fun ride.

I get the impression that Lucasfilm is using the Lego movies as a means of softly moving the series beyond the Skywalker saga. I know they aren't "canon", given how silly they get, but they could be considered canon in a broad strokes kind of way.

Yeah, it was another fun one for the LEGO movies. Each one of this trilogy has definitely been a lot of laughs. It does feel as though they're using ideas that might have been discussed by the story group for beyond the sequel trilogy, as they've been consistent with the characters motives between each one. Hopefully we can get some material that goes beyond the sequels soon, as I'm interested in seeing where they could take and improve upon the characters and the era.

Apparently, the Lego SW people went on record at some point stating that the Lego SW shows and movies are generally in the canon, but out-of-character specifics like hilarious Palpatine are not.

And you know what that means.

Somewhere out there, the Freemakers are in the official lore. Can we get them in live action please? :shifty: I need me some more Graballa the Hutt.

Also means that the overall development of the characters after the Sequels as portrayed in the Lego shows/movies is also in the canon.

Trailer blitz:

Andor S1: September 21st

Tales of the Jedi S1: October 26th

Mandalorian S3: February 2023

Bad Batch S2 has been pushed back to January 4th, 2023. Hopefully they'll get a new trailer out soon.

Oh, this is a non-stop barrage of Star Wars content from varying eras. Tales of the Jedi is looking suitably awesome with some pre-war Dooku focus.

And yes to the Freemakers stuff being part of the official lore. I'd love to see some of Graballa's antics in non-LEGO form.

Finally watched some more Clone Wars 5 after the droid mission arc nearly killed my interest. And oh boy, what an absolutely amazing few episodes! Palpatine Vs Maul and Savage

Yeah baby :datass:

Oh, yeah. The droid arc is the weakest of the lot, but it certainly make those arcs after it all the sweeter.
