I will just start from the beginning then and see how far I get. Finished Mando last night, thought it was excellent TV.

And done on Clone Wars. Those last few episodes in Season 7 are strawberry floating insane, up there with the best Star Wars content ever.

How'd you like Fives' S6 arc?

Top tier, the writing is so good.

It's my favorite arc of the whole show. Couldn't have been any better if it was live action.

It just occured to me that when Obi-Wan says "only a sith deals in absolutes", he is dealing in absolutes.

Is Obi-Wan admitting to being a sith?

Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige’s Star Wars film project has taken a significant step forward. Michael Waldron, writer and executive producer of Marvel’s Loki series, has been tapped to write the screenplay according to Variety.

I hear that Marvel writers are generally pretty decent, so hopefully this dude knows his Star Wars inside and out.

Even the most basic examination of the Jedi order reveals it to be supremely messed up and unsurprisingly contradictory

I mean sending them on a diplomatic mission is like turning up with a nuclear bomb strapped to your back

Near as I can tell from Tarkin's origins in one of the new canon books, the Jedi were not the primary diplomatic force in the galaxy - there was an actual diplomatic corps type entity, so when the Jedi turned up, you knew things were pretty serious.

Also, there's the High Republic book/comic line launch trailer:

Taking control of the Force sure don't seem very Jedi-like.

Daily Mail Saturday Essay

The Jedi profess to care about balance and fairness, but the Sith vowing to eradicate the Jedi Order and bring about an era of darkness for the galaxy is apparently too much for some in the elite Coruscant bubble. But now, leading historian SHEEV PALPATINE says enough is enough...

SO MUCH FOR THE "TOLERANT" JEDI!

I can't wait, it's going to be wonderful.

Hoping to get some flashbacks of the war, looks at the wars the Empire had to have been immediately embroiled in, and/or get a look into the postwar lives of Commander Cody, Rex, Wolffe, the Commandos, and Boba Fett.

The first episode takes us to Kashyyyk, before Order 66. There, Delta and Bad Batch work together to hinder Seperatist supply lines. The Batch are responsible for Sev being MIA. Thousands of fans instantly hate them. Delta Squad never get seen again within the series.

Oh, don't mind me. Just brainstorming ways the first episode would get universally hated.

Is it going to be a one episode released per week thing or the whole lot dumped in one go? Tempted to wait until the whole series is available if it's the first one.

May 4th for the first episode, May 7th for the second, then weekly after that. Problem is, the cartoons are so watchable that it'll probably be more worthwhile waiting until it's all out and then binging it.

You're joking, right? That would be amazing. Commando Gregor features in Rebels a little bit, it wouldn't be a stretch to see him or Delta in BB.

Oh, seeing Delta in Bad Batch would be awesome, but if it's just like in The Clone Wars where it's only for a single episode - even if they have a more fulfilling role - would still feel like doing them dirty. If the Imperial Commando game was to be a thing, however, and this is their start point for the plot of that game...

Ffs, why did it have to be a cartoon

My thoughts exactly.

I've been struggling to get into the Clone Wars stuff. I've watched about 4 or 5 episodes on Disney+ but it just isn't grabbing me.

Yeah I'm not a fan of that animation style either. Looks too robotic.

Because people have been wanting more Clone Wars type shows since TCW was cancelled. More so after the end of TCW S7.

Bad Batch is pretty much a sequel to that show.
