Not even necessarily anything with a big involved story arc, just a show about a Jedi taking on their Padawan and following their adventures. You could set it just about any time, but High Republic era would probably work best. Would be good to have a more episodic feel to it too. Kind of like Strange New Worlds is doing with Trek. There's still a general underlying arc, but it's mostly stand alone shows.

But Ahsoka has been excellent. This might even be my favourite of the shows so far.

That was my favourite part about Rebels. Kanan and Ezra were fantastic.

I'd like that. But with a Sith training an apprentice.

That would be cool.

I was wondering if there was some of that in CW and Rebels.

Yet another reason to try and get into it again I guess.

Been catching up on some Star Wars stuff even though I think it's crap.

Andor was surprisingly great maybe the best Star Wars thing I've ever seen. Not top tier TV or anything but for Star Wars surprisingly watchable. Had a really good story, actions felt meaningful, the world wasn't just dumb settings that no one would ever possibly live in, characters were good and action was cool. The final episode was surprisingly emotive too.

From that I moved onto The Mandalorian S3 and this is more like it. Absolutely peak Star Wars bollocks. My God it's boring and stupid.

I can't imagine wasting all that time doing something I don't like.

How else could he smugly tell an entire thread that he doesn't like something? :?

I'm also watching Ahsoka. That's also really crap but am rather more forgiving of that given its clearly aimed at the cartoon audience.

I struggle to find time to keep up with shows I like, I can't imagine wilfully watching numerous shows that I don't think are any good at all

Honestly to watch something you don't like to complain about it I can respect. At least you took the time to watch it and then complain based on your opinion rather than not knowing anything and complaining anyway.

That was ridiculous and a great time.

Huyang said the line! :o

Witches, Scottish ass planet, Baylan and Shin, collectively giving Macbeth vibes.

Kintsugi being used to patch up armor and ships in lieu of plastoid is a really cool look. Enoch, leader of Thrawn's guard, looks especially badass with that faceplate.

The little stone troll hobbit folk are fun, another fine addition to Star Wars' cute collection.

Lars Mikkelsen delivered a fantastic performance as Thrawn. I thought it might be weird, but it was like seeing an old friend again. A very polite, deeply menacing old friend.

Another great performance by Ray Stevenson. I don't know what they'll do without him.

And, Ezra! They're really leaning into those Rebels-era Aladdin vibes. It's good to see him. Beard looks good on him.

Oh, another brilliant episode.

Sabine is going to snap, I can feel that. Baylan said it best. Her obsession with finding Ezra blinds her. But now she's found him, but cannot face how she came to do so. Ezra will eventually find out, and just like Anakin with Padmé, Sabine will be unable to face that. She will be unable to accept that looking in the mirror moment of her actions clearly spelled out. There's definitely a battle brewing between the two. I'm sure Ahsoka will be able to sort those differences out. If she gets there in time.

Not Star Wars related but Herbi did you ever watch The Bear? It's the best new show in years, all on Disney+. 30 minute episodes so easy to binge.

I've watched the first episode. I want to go back to it as it's been recommended very highly but am a bit concerned by how anxiety inducing it is. I'll definitely get round to more of it I think. You generally don't lead me astray so I'll take your word that it's brilliant.

Ashoka really isn't that interesting to me tbh. Other than Thrawnthe only character that interested me was Baylan Skoll, sadly his story will not continue without a recast.

He's a wonderful actor, and a deeply felt loss.

I've heard a few names bandied about, for if a recast is necessary (pending the season finale) - I would favor Gerard Butler, or maybe Vincent Regan. Nobody can really replace Ray, though.

One of the few actors whose loss actually hurts when I see him on screen.

Baylan Skoll is clearly the most interesting character in this at the moment.
