Went to see the Phantom Menace 25th anniversary last night at the cinema and, damn the movie has held up well. They showed the Acolyte fight scene afterwards as part of a sneak peak trailer and it is a very well done scene.

Looking forward to the show quite a lot now. Only a month to wait.

It's like a Star Wars What If? but done in Lego. Looks fun!

Nice to see they've put Geordi La Forge's daughter in for the Trek crossover.

Yes it's 4 hours long, yes she sometimes wears funny outfits - but I found this really interesting and if you watch it in chunks it's perfectly manageable:

I'm only a little way into it, less than an hour, but it's already a very good watch. It's astonishing how badly Disney fumbled what should have been a pretty easy money maker on every level.

Had to pause it at the reveal of the cost for two people for two nights. No wonder it went out of business.

First two episodes of the Acolyte are now up, and it's very good.

The mystery is a little tropey so far, but it's done well enough. The action is awesome, the worlds feel lived in, and the characters are engaging and fun. It's well acted and written, and the set and costume design are top notch. The few external ship action scenes we've had so far were great, too.

It's really cool to see the Jedi Temple at this time, it has a totally different vibe to it, it feels distinctively retro. I dig it.

It all has a movie feel to it, honestly, and the pacing is great. It's such a satisfying watch.

Watched the first episode and enjoyed it. Pretty much agree with what Alvin said-certainly a little tropey but has a movie feel to it-everything feels well made. Obviously early days but it has my attention.

Good couple of episodes to start this off, I do think it feels a bit cliche though.

Is it just me that thinks the Acolyte is average at best.

I doubt you're alone in thinking that.

Good episode this week, I thought.

For a good bit I thought we were dealing with the Nightsisters, the way they talked about being witches, but they bear very little resemblance to the Witches of Dathomir, physically, in their fashion, and in their practices, not to mention they're not on Dathomir.

It seems right now like they're an entirely new Force cult or religion, which I found absolutely fascinating to watch. Shame we didn't get to spend more time with them, but if we get a Jedi POV of those two days, maybe we'll learn more.

Good, subtle use of de-aging tech in the episode to make the actors appear a decade and a half younger. The kids were great, and I liked getting to explore a little of their old life.

Really liking Sol so far, and it was nice to see a bit more of Indara.

I expect we'll be back in the "present" next week. Hopefully we'll see more of the masked Sithy apprentice.

I watched the first 3 episodes today and thoroughly enjoyed them.

There's definitely more to the story that's being hidden.

No way the fire by the door caused the reactor to malfunction which I think is what lead to everyone dying. I wonder if one of the Jedi did something stupid and sabotaged the reactor or something
