Blaming his agent and went to an interview after testing positive.

Sounds like total bullshit. Kick him out I say.

Cancelled after 5pm on Friday. Courts closed until Monday. 100% deliberate with the timing.

What a play

3 year ban unless successfully appeals.

Not content with stopping Nadal and Federer getting Slam 21, he's decided to stop Djokovic getting Slam 21 too.

Pretty petty to wait till friday to do it. This whole thing has become a farce. The Australian government and Aussie Tennis should have had this sorted before he even arrived. The Aussie Tennis association should have just banned him from playing in the first place instead of giving him a loophole to exploit. Utter nonsense.

For real though, Craig Tiley head of Tennis Australia should be made to resign. I would very much like to know what communications TA and Djokovic's team had in the months leading up to AO22, how much coaching TA gave them on constructing the exemption application, and how they came to let players believe a recent infection was sufficient grounds when TA had received a letter from the federal government stating the opposite.

Feels like they bet it all on the Government backing down

They'd have probably got away with it had Djokovic not done a photoshoot knowing he was infected and failed to declare his travel to Spain.

So if he had flown in and quarantined for 14 days would this then have not been an issue? If so what a monumental strawberry float up.

Also the fact he put the wrong information on the form and went out and about when he was infected for me is to many occasions to not be on purpose.

It's been quite a week for arrogant banana splits who think the rules don't apply to them.

Djokovic is clearly bending the rules, he can't get upset when someone else does as well. He's being played at his own game.

I'd like to see any normal person write wrong information on a form and try and get into AUSTRALIA. It's not like they don't have previous!

Imagine if Andy Murray miraculously won. Absolute scenes.

In fairness the Australian government aren't bending the rules, their immigration laws are simply that draconian.

Djokovic has lost his review:

Novak Djokovic is set to be deported from Australia, after losing his appeal against his visa cancellation.

Three judges have unanimously dismissed his appeal. They say they will give their reasoning at a later date.

This has been like a celebrity special of those border force shows where some bellend tries to get into the country on a student visa to a fake uni with no qualifications and 31p in their bank account.
