Great call from the Parisian authorities to extend the curfew and allow the fans to stay.

Get in Novak. Historic win that. Stunning match. Right up there with Nadal v Federer in 2008.

Will be a shame that it’ll be Djokovic who will probably end up with the Grand Slam record.

Why a shame? I think Djokovic is the best all round tennis player we've ever seen, even if he doesn't end up with the outright record.

Nadal had never lost a semifinal and never lost a match at Roland Garros when he won the first set. Until tonight.
Thats the magnitude of Novak's win.
He just needs to not get carried away now and finish the job on sunday.

I think Nadal is a dickhead, but can't argue with his skills.

Apparently the french prime minister was watching the match and called to say the fans could stay.
Solid bloke.

Novak's one of the greatest sportsmen of all time, in any sport. I'd be more than happy for him to end up as the all-time leading slam winner. His talent if off the scale.

He says some stuff I don't agree with, but I watch sport for the sport. And he's one of the very best at what he does.

Nadal might allegedly be a drug cheat, but at least he isn't an anti-vaxxing Covid superspreader. :dread:

Final year of Roland Garros on ITV. Currently a Eurosport/Discovery exclusive from here on out.

Always a shame when yet another staple of free to air TV goes behind a bloody paywall.

Not since the early 2000s, when anyone with a dish could pick it up.

Shame for Tsitsipas as he was brilliant in those first two sets. Fantastic comeback from Djoko.
Delighted for him. Thats a stunning achievement.

Didn't catch it all but from what I saw it was a high quality final, feel sorry for Tsitsipas but he'll be back, the future of mens' tennis lookila bright with Tsitsipas, Zverev, Medvedev, Thiem. Not sure it will ever match the greatness of the Djokovic/Nadal/Federer era but there's a lot to look forward to still. It does seem more likely than not that Djokovic will ultimately end up with the highest number of slams, he is a machine and he has to be the favourite at Wimbledon.

Feels like Djokovic could absolutely clean up in the slams in the next few years
