The disrespect from the crowd toward Medvedev on that championship was ridiculous.

Crowd sucked but in the end I’m happy that both Medvedev won and the manbaby lost.

Well. The anti Novak crew (very quiet before) have emerged.
:P

Djokovic lost his cool, his rhythm and the match in the face of a superb display from Medvedev.
Thats why the slam is so hard to do.

A slim morsel for his detractors to snack on.
He'll be odds on for the Aussie in January.

A great tournament. One of the best in recent memory. Two first time Slam winners, too.
Id expect many more to come for both.
Classless display ftom the crowd at times but hey ho.

Have to say Medvedev really did his homework tonight. Started well and didnt allow Novak much of a chance.

Don’t worry, I’ve been very anti-Novak in private. :P

The men’s game desperately needs one of these ‘newcomers’ to kick on.

It does. Zverev needs a slam under his belt. As does Tsitsipas

Always liked Medvedev after he turned heel on the US Open crowd.

Not too many other ways to react to that I guess. Incredibly disrespectful of the crowd to boo him like that.

I'm starting to think there are no good tennis crowds.

The US Open crowd is famously awful. Ruined Naomi Osaka's win.

Although Wimbledon has got a tad more rowdy in recent years it's still light years ahead of the US Open and French Open crowds.

At the US Open the crowds just don't give a gooseberry fool, they treat the stadium like they're down the local bar. At the French they're actively pricks towards certain players if they take a random dislike to them, whenever they can bother to actually attend the matches.

Wimbledon seems to still sit above Aus Open, which in turn sits above the other two in terms of Grand Slam tennis events. I don't mind a rowdy crowd as long as they're respectful of both players. Must've been awful to be Medvedev, and to a lesser extent Raducanu, during their respective finals.

So it looks like the Chinese Government have kidnapped female tennis player Peng Shuai because she made an allegation of sexual assault against a top government official :dread:
