Straight to VHS at the all night garage.

Watched this at the cinema and it genuinely goes down as one of the worst films (but not the worst film!) I’ve seen at the cinema. For reference, I see 100+ films a year there with my Limitless membership…

I kind of like the Dishonored vibe, but I’ve seen enough.

Looking at Wiki:

It was one of the biggest box office bombs in history, grossing $83.7 million against a production budget of $100–150 million, losing the studio (Universal Pictures, WingNut Films) an estimated $175 million.

Are you all talking about mortal engines? Such a weird concept of a film, why on earth anyone thought it would work is beyond me  I tried watching it when it first came on sky, I think I got roughly half way or so through.

I think this is the first sustained amount of the US Open I've ever watched and one thing that stuck out like a sore thumb was the microphone on the net - every serve sounded like a let to me because I think it could pick up the ball travelling over the net. Just me?

This drove me absolutely nuts.

Same here. Wonder what the point of that was?

Ah! *That's* what it was! I, too, kept on thinking "That's a definite let!" and wondering what was going on!

A microphone on the net? Ridiculous!

Oh, and yeah, that really was a super game; more so because the players were so young and in their first finals. Bravo for both and lovely to see a Brit win a tennis trophy :toot: .

Without exaggeration, it is one of the most insane sporting achievements we will witness in our lifetime, I'm still struggling to get my head round it.

Not even a single set she played all tournament went to tie break :slol:

Average of 5.4 million watched the programme last night on C4, with 7,390,000 average for the match itself, peaking at 9.2m. Champagne all round at Amazon, in other words. A 39.9% share of total audience & 48% of 16-34 year olds, according to C4 Press.

C4 delivering this doesn’t exactly hinder their case with the government that they shouldn’t be sold off, either.

Someone in the qualifiers took her to 7-5, her most difficult opponent was before the real tournament :slol:

Here we all were wondering who would replace Murray in terms of who we can cheer for (that’s realistically also going to reach a quarter final, at least) and we’ve got someone before Murray has even decided to retire and bore us all on commentary.

Yeah it's frightening, completely unheard of for anyone to do that let alone an 18-year-old barely-ranked qualifier!

It kills me that Morgan and the like are taking credit for this, absolutely kills me.

It's batshit crazy.

Watched a good bit of most of her later matches. She's been astonishing. Her composure and ability to sustain her form and resilience when things begin to go awry is miraculous in one so young. Watching her caereer unfold now could be amazing for fans. Ridiculously talented.
