Halep played an incredible match!

Not too fussed who wins the mens final tbh. Would be nice if the top three retired on roughly the same number of slams, so I guess Novak, but he has more years ahead of him than Fed.

If Novak wins today he'll overtake them both. A Federer win puts him a little more out of reach. Federer has to serve very well to win today. If he does it could be a cracker. If his serve drops - I can't see him getting any joy.

Basically impossible to see Federer having the tank to win this in five. Djokovic has been outplayed for most of this match and is still up. Guy's a machine.

This has been a weird match from what I've seen between the cricket and F1.

Well, a relatively quick fourth set will definitely help Federer. :slol:

In an astonishingly tight contest, I've decided I hate Federer slightly more and will probably enjoy the tears of his many many fans, so... Go do it Djokobitch. For me.

Two championship points on his own serve, and he lost. Feels pretty good, actually.

He gazed up at the enormous face. Forty years it had taken him to learn what kind of smile was hidden beneath the dark moustache. O cruel, needless misunderstanding! O stubborn, self-willed exile from the loving breast! Two gin-scented tears trickled down the sides of his nose. But it was all right, everything was all right, the struggle was finished. He had won the victory over himself. He loved Big Novak.

Fed is getting into a habit of choking against Djok

Tie-breaker was a bit of an anti-climax

Very gutted for Roger. Really wanted him to win that.

Enjoy seeing all the toffs at Wimbledon cheering for Federer disappointed. I think Fed is probably the best ever player, but I'm glad Djokovic won.

Federer probably is the best ever, but I think Djokovic will overtake his slam wins now.

I genuinely couldn't decide who I wanted to win that match while watching, but I felt so bad for Novak when he was getting booed when challenging the umpire it probably swung it his way in my mind.

strawberry float the crowd. Djoko for the win.
I think Federer is perhaps the most gifted player but fur me Novak is the more complete one. I'd back him to win most slams now.

That passing shot from Novak when he was facing Federer's second championship point at 7-8 was astonishing. He's so tough to beat.

Felt for Federer because I think that's the best he's played against Djokovic for a long time. He'd have beaten any other player fairly comfortably today.

That's the thing with Djokovic, he's so hard to beat. If you'd looked at the stats after 3 sets Federer was much the better player yet he was still 2-1 down.

I think a lot of people don't find his style of play as entertaining but I love watching Djokovic, a point is never over because he gets on the end of things no other player would. We have been spoiled the last 15 years or so, it will be a sad day once the big 3 have retired, hopefully other players will step up to deliver.

Wow that was a hard-fought win from Nadal...Medvedev did amazing to come back and win sets 3 and 4 then nearly reclaimed the double-break on set 5. Surely Nadal is going to overtake Fed on slams won now
