by DML » Tue Apr 09, 2019 10:28 am

So, I'm not quite up for being back posting at the moment, but at the same time it seems a shame not to share when I am doing my biggest ever solo endeavour in a five hour long YouTube series on the best UK gameshows of all time. In conjunction with gameshow fansite Bothers Bar, I am going through my personal picks for the best UK gameshows of all time. There's a new episode out every Friday and so far there are four videos, with the fifth out this week. Its been a really exciting task to make these videos and actually work out my list, and I figure some people here might enjoy them. I've had some lovely comments from gameshow peeps so far, its been great. Hope some of you like the series!

Literally the only time I'll watch ITV now is to watch The Chase.

That's quite an achievement, Bradley Walsh is the network's best asset.

Is the Adventure Game number 1? If not then you might need to reassess your list.

As I said in my tweet when you posted this, I'm so disappointed The Genius Game can't be included as it's easily my favourite game show of all time.

Really need to watch your other episodes at some point, as the first was great. You're a decent host DML.

You should get back to posting as well man.

Watched the first one, Impossible is too low.
I'd totally forgotten about Terror Towers, loved that!

Surely it's Gladiators at #1.

One man should not have this much power in this game. Luckily I'm not an ordinary man.

Was that presented by the fella who also presented Mouse Trap... Steve Johnson I think he was called?

Will only watch these if the top spot is taken by Funhouse.

Yeah, that's the guy, before those he also presented 'It's Torture' on the same saturday morning show as Mousetrap (Motormouth) which was great fun.

Motormouth? Was that with Neil Buchanan, Gaby Roslin and Andy Crane?

I watched a lot of Saturday morning kids TV and a lot of the shows kinda blur into one.

Yep, the earlier series also featured Andrea Arnold, and a giant mouth studio set.

During the summer, the show would go off air and Ghost Train (with Nobby the sheep) would be on saturday mornings instead.

Nah, Krypton Factor or bust. How many other game shows had you landing a strawberry floating airliner?

and Tipping Point

I used to watch it every time it was on.

There was a similar US equivalent on Nickelodeon during the early 90's called Guts which I used to watch but it wasn't quite as good.
