strawberry floating state of people in here who can't eat a fried egg sandwich without getting yolk on them.

Yes it's a configuration that has inherent dangers, but damn the taste is worth it. :datass:

I'm just assuming they can't eat sandwiches with any sauce in them

Gravy/marinara ensure an even level of moisture throughout the sandwich, even if I do prefer the sauce not to be dripping out of the sides. If it's wrapped as you're eating it (a la Subway) the mess is quite well contained too. With an egg yolk all the moisture is released at once when you bite into it, it's like a water balloon.

What kind of high pressure egg yolks are you guys eating?

Yes when you bite into it the yolk is released but it's still perfectly manageable to eat it in a tidy fashion, it's not like some kind of strawberry floating egg bomb going off in your mouth!

It's all about the eating tactics - approach the subject correctly and you will achieve a clean victory!

I only like a runny yolk if I'm at home, I'd rather not risk a yolk based crotch or T-shirt stain in public.

I'm actually looking at getting a Chromebook, just waiting for Google to release the Pixelbook Go before I enter the market.

I've been using Chromebooks exclusively for a few year now (at least at home, I still use Windows PCs at work and occasionally at university) and I still get the whole "why don't you use a real computer?". I'm fine with using Windows but I couldn't see myself going back to a "real computer" any time soon.

Just to follow this up, I got a Pixelbook Go today (late Xmas/birthday present) so I'm really looking forward to getting home and having a proper play about with it. Looks to be a very nice, premium looking piece of kit.

If I didn't already have two Chromebooks I'd have bought the Go, it looks like a really nice computer. Three Chromebooks seems a little excessive though!

Perfect. I don't even have butter in my sandwiches (unless chips and//or bacon and/or sausage.)

I haven't put butter on my sandwiches since I was old enough to make my own. I've never understood the need for it. I don't mind a bit of buttered bread to mop up a nice stew or something but it's completely unnecessary in a sandwich.

I also don't understand people who have something like jam or Marmite on their toast as well as butter. Either have buttered toast or jam/Marmite. Not both!

Imagine not putting butter on literally everything you eat.

I have butter with marmite because I like the taste.

But the taste of both jam and marmite is enhanced by the addition of butter, why wouldn't you use both?

We're not under rationing conditions these days (although I hear they should kick back in sometime this year ;) ) The game isn't "How few ingredients can I use to make a gooseberry fool sandwich?"

Also I genuinely don't think I could eat something like a ham sandwich without bread or some kind of lubricant like mayo, thing would be too damn dry otherwise!

The entire reason it gets put in sandwiches was born of necessity: it provides a moisture-proof layer to stop the bread going soggy. Now, of course, if you're eating your sandwich straight away and don't like butter, then fine, crack on. But if you're making it as part of a packed lunch and you're putting items such as salad and/or tomatoes in there, then you might want to consider waterproofing that bread.

If you don't want yoke on your T-shirt grow a big beard, it will act as a hanging napkin you can go to the bathroom and wash, I have a bushy grey and brown beard currently but I'm thinking of cutting it into a sort of pointy Disney villain sort of thing.
