I think Season 2 has a couple of episodes that are amazing.

But the overall arc isn't presented as well as Season 1, and generally the mystery isn't as good.

Season 2 does have a lot more weaknesses in the storytelling, I'll admit, but I love all the episodes in it, unlike Season 1 which has a couple of horrendous episodes. Drinking the Kool Aid is one example, and theres another which I hate more but I can't remember the name of.

Season 3s mini-arcs are good, but I prefer the standalone episodes in general. Like the one in Season 2 at the school fair, that ones one of the best episodes.

I just wish they'd finished the strawberry floating thing off. Bloomin CW.

I think we're different there. To me those episodes (There's a couple of moments in DTKA for example) still advance the main plots enough for me to enjoy.

Where as the main plot (and I'm a sucker for arcs) suffers in season 2 - mainly from Veronica's connection to it being a bit iffy/variable depending on the plot of the week.

Season 3s mini-arcs are good, but I prefer the standalone episodes in general. Like the one in Season 2 at the school fair, that ones one of the best episodes.

I liked the mini-arc at the begining of season 1

With Troy? (Arron Ashmore). It ends with "You Think You Know Somebody"...and an ending I completely didn't see coming.

It was that, episode 5, where I knew I loved it.

I like the ending. (I hope to see the propsed FBI pilot someday). The only think I didn't like was the quick killing of

Lamb

I'm thinking Veronica Mars. Yes/No?

FFS Sake Herbs. How many times have I told you to watch VM?

I don't recall you ever advising me to watch anything :?

Kristen Bell being staggeringly beautiful helps the appeal :)

Is that electric girl from Heroes?

Yes...do you watch Smallville? The Veronica Mars character is pretty much like Chloe. Pure awesome :)

You been watching the latest series? I'm watching it on E4, so i'm probably miles behind. One of the best superman spin offs in a long time. I just think the actor who's playing Lex Lutor this time around has really worked to make the character him. I could imagine the actor being that good in real life.

Veronicas connection to the mystery arc was a weak point, I agree, but the overall story I found more interesting, and I preferred the big reveal in Season 2. Season 1s felt a bit rushed in comparison.

I loved that mini-arc. The bit in Season 2 where
Troy comes back
was pretty good too, I thought.

My favourite episode of VM ever though is
The one where Logan has to look after Dicks sister-in-law. Just makes me want to give him a great big hug.

They wasted Jason Dohring in the shockingly bad Moonlight, really.

Really? Massive Spoilers. Herbs don't read.

I thought Season 1's built up nicely. First there was Able, then the rape, then the "big" reveal. BadDad was also hinted at throughout the series - e.g. when he violently beats Tina's girlfriend.

Conversely I found season 2 got too wrapped up in the baby/meg/duncan and other smaller arcs, and only really kicked it up in the last few episodes (From "I am God").

I also didn't think Beav/Coach Bad Touch was foreshadowed, making it harder to "work out" the ending before being told. Hence why it's not as good a mystery

Jason Dohring is amazing. And turns what could be a complete ass of a character into something special. It's really nice watching him over all 3 seasons.

I watched 6 when on in the US. It really suffers in some areas, but can be really good in others. The problems is basically lois and lana suck, the actresses suck and the writing for them sucks. Every so often though it plays a blinder, and they're worth watching.

Although sometimes it's complete drivel (Have you seen the Jimmy focus one with spies? Awful)

I'm always pushing veronica mars.

(Also - people should try Joan of Arcadia)

Hexx, if you like Joan of Arcadia, watch Wonderfalls. Apparently they're very similar, and I really liked Wonderfalls.

They did sort of pick up on Beav not being quite right though. As someone else pointed out in the old thread, there are clues, they're just a lot harder to spot. I did love Season 1's ending, but I preferred the finale to Season 2.

I've been told that before.

Although I think I'd get to depressed when getting to it's end - it too was cut short and I'd cry.

Great now I have to go Watch "Queen of the Zombies" again - that's got my favorite God in...

Edit - Gah. Can't find God, or his lovely speech after...but found this...

I really love God in JoA. I don't believe in God, but if there is...I hope he's like this. Another show I knew I'd love instantly...this time from the theme music.

Oh no, Wonderfalls is perfectly contained in its series. There was scope for more, but it isn't demanded by the ending.

In fact, it has a perfect ending in many ways.

Well worth a go then? Cheers.

I've just decided to watch JoA again though...I miss God :(

Listen. I'm the one who told you about Veronica Mars - right (I think that was you)

Trust me again. Find/Watch JoA now/first.

What else have you got to watch?

Six Feet Under and The Wire are shows I'm currently watching, Venture Bros and Weeds are shows I'm gonna start ASAP.

It was me you recommended VM to though. And I never looked back, so I will download JoA at some point.

I'm on episode 10 (I think) of Season 2. I'm trying to watch a couple of episodes a day. It's really enjoyable so far.

And I have 24 Day 6 on the way from LewisD soon so I'll probably wind up hooked on that.

I'll let you off Venture Boys....but JoA is SO much better than Weeds it's not even funny.

I was right about VM...trust me! You've got a little Hexx inside you telling you what to do! Listen to it! It's be a good companion for SFU.

(But don't watch the end of season 1 or begining of season 2 alone. It's emotionally devastating)
