Really enjoyed the first episode (even more because of FX not putting ad-breaks in).

The main guy's police partner (shane was it?) reminded me of Maxi Rodriguez from Lolerpool. :shifty:

Was a bit bummed out when the horse was mauled. Poor guy, dragged from his safe little field to the city to get eaten.

Silencers aren't that silent so it wouldn't have made a difference. Though they could have just done what every other show/film does and make it so the silencer makes the guns super-quiet.

Silencers are good at disguising the direction that the shot came from though, even if it isn't that much quieter. Still, a good silencer with subsonic rounds is pretty silent compared to a regular gunshot. Even if a police station doesn't carry them, why pick a gun that sounds like a canon? Because it makes you look badass? Badassery might get you pussy but it doesn't do much to protect against a zombie bite let me tell you.

Perhaps the badass weapons are all the police station stocks.

Seemed like a small town polis station. Why would they need silencers?

Just came across this: Making of

Not sure if it contains spoilers for future episodes but I'll report back once I've watched it.

Edit: Yeah, that contains clips from future episodes. Best to avoid.

Would any police departments carry a silencer? Surely that's more special ops stuff. I'd imagine only ones with swat teams would.

Now I know fx has no ads I might just watch it on there. It will save myself downloading 2gb files.

Probably not, to be honest. I just think that taking a six shot revolver that sounds like a grenade when you shoot it is a pretty nub mistake to make. Especially when you've be told twice before hand that the sound will only attract more zombies. Maybe that's all that was left.

I think it was only just the pilot they did that for considering it was over an hour long, they probably didn't want to risk losing viewers by stretching it out over two hours with ads.

UK or US, as along as people are sensitive about spoilers, which they usually are around here it should be fine. Worked without issue for the 24 thread.

Also, question for the comic book readers, is it ever explained or noted how these zombies seem to retain some of their memories/routines from their living lives? That's something that stuck me as quite different about these zombies.

They retain memories in the "dead" films too, think its good to see that they still have a few human remains left,

not impressed they at the horse though:(

Fabian Delph is a banana split.

Really enjoyed the first episode. I'm going to refrain from downloading future episodes and enjoy it all in HD on my telly like a regular viewer.

Episode 2's available? Awesome. The first ep was the best pilot I've seen in over half a decade.

I am loving the show, but those opening credits really are strawberry floating awful. Why they couldn't use the awesome fan made credits that was released a few months ago is beyond me. I'm even tempted to manually edit those credits into the episodes.

Is the Cop's mate also in The Pacific? I recognise him from another show.
