Does anyone even like Daryl anymore? If they'd said he was taking over as lead 5 seasons ago I'd have been interested.

If it happens I'm done with it, no way can Daryl step up as lead character after his last few terrible seasons. Should have kept Carl around. For me The Walking Dead is Rick Grimes story, without him I doubt it'd even feel like the same programme.

Rick is the only character I even care about anymore. Oh well, Fear The Walking Dead is far better.

Yeah, it's pretty much Rick's show. It'll die a death without him.

Maybe him leaving will be the shot in the arm it needs but this show has now run it's course. If they killed it after the next season it would be a fitting end. Otherwise its ratings will continue to plummet. I honestly think it doesn't have any more stories to tell in that world.

The whisperers, and the commonwealth have plenty of stories to tell denny.

Yeah, plenty of stories which are exactly the same as the last ones. Bigger baddies come but Rick wins and beats them. Then bigger bigger baddies come. The whole Walking Dead franchise is just a pile of dog mess now. I barely managed to get through the last comic I read as it's just dire. The prison arc was lightning in a bottle.

Trailer looks annoyingly good.......

However once Rick leaves I'm done, whether that's episode 1 or 16 I'm done. It's Rick's story to me, no one else's.

Whats annoying as well if the show had been much faster paced, got through the Whisperers and Commonwealth already before bringing it to some kind of an ending (they've missed their best chance, after the All Out War arc) it'd have been so much better, dragging the Saviours out for 2 seasons? Dragging the first half of season 6 out for a Walker heard? These last few series have had some good episodes but barring the second half of season 8 (where I felt the quality was generally quite good) it's been bad, awful at points while it could have been so much better. I won't lie, I'll probably still watch it but just not on TV, just binge watch it when it's all finished where you don't notice the generally poor pacing as much when watching multiple episodes.

Just different enemies with a twist. The show has explored all it needs to of the human condition and how we'd respond to an apocalyptic event. Different costumes on Rick or Maggie or Daryl's new nemesis is not going to cut it now.

I watch it because ive stuck with it and lots of fans are the same. It isn't the show it was and most of the last two seasons were a slog. Livened by some decent set pieces and a great big bad.

Id love an end game. Either every dies or all the zombies "die" or i dunno they find out the rest of the world is still operational

Got to admit, that trailer was better than I expected. Quite looking forward to S9.

They should just replace the actor. Just slot Thomas Jane into the role and I'll be happy.
