I have the Canadian version of this game, so I'm guessing that the DLC wont be compatible with my copy?

Probably.

I've got a few saves that I can't use on UK games in the past (even on the GameCube!) so I wouldn't be surprised if DLC works that way.

Playing this at the moment. Tbh, I feel like the game started quite slowly (Chapter 1 and first half of Chapter 2) but it's getting better.

As people mentioned in the TLoU thread, the game generates a similar fatherly-love type relationship between the player and Clementine, as TLoU achieves with Ellie (though the two girls are totally different!). Actually, this game seems to do so a lot more quickly than TLoU. Even though I'm only about a third of the way in, when questioned by one if the characters last night I found myself quite enthusiastically stating that I'd "do whatever it takes to protect Clementine", without any hesitation.

In shorting I'm liking this a lot. Only downers are that it doesn't seem to run all that smoothly at times (I guess that's because it's an arcade game originally - though I'm playing on disc - and has to track your previous choices?) and the whole (chapter 2 spoiler)...

cannibalism

World war Z, The Walking Dead (comic) had it, I'm sure there were others.

One of my friends says he did too, so I'm cool with that. :shifty:

I was blarting like a girl. Well, not literally. But tears were rolling down my cheeks.

I was fighting them off extremely hard, but a few did roll.

Honestly, it's probably the most emotionally upsetting piece of entertainment I've ever experienced. Astonishing stuff.

It doesn't diminish either. Telltale played through the series on Twitch a few weeks ago with voice actors on hand to provide commentary, and the finalé had both Lee and Clementine's voice actors on hand.

Lee's voice actor said he was in tears recording the scene, but managed to hold it together for the stream. Well, he had his hand over his mouth for the last bit. Clem's voice actor and the Telltale woman playing the game didn't fare so well, and I was welling up just watching it.

I can't think of another scene in anything that's affected me quite as much as that bit did. It's pretty much perfect.

It wasn't that sad. Certainly not to the point of crying anyway.

But the main character is a murderer, who cares if he dies?.
