I'd offer you some tips on climbing Snowdon, but we all know how you feel about that.

In the 2018 heatwave our garden went completely yellow, as did pretty much every patch of grass I spotted in the general vicinity. This time whilst it's still clearly been a dry period the grass is all still green locally - must be that latent Welsh wetness!

its all yellow in my area

Is the forecasted rain just slowly disappearing for the rest of the country? Still seems to think there’s about a 50% chance we’ll get some on Tuesday, but for the rest of the week it’s looking like nothing.

I know Sky news aren’t the greatest, but they put a tweet out about various countries now being in/having drought conditions and the first reply was about this was normal weather in 1970 for 8 weeks over the summer. I really think a lot of people just can’t grasp how abnormal this year has been for weather, looking at the met office with regards to rainfall, it looks like every month except February and May have been on the lower end of rainfall, this coupled with the almost oppressive weather over June, July and now August (so far). I can see us having another mild winter like last year too, we’ll probably set another record for New Years Eve/Day again.

I'm getting a bit pissed off about the weather :fp: .

Months of ultra heat and it seems that the "storm" on Tuesday probably isn't gonna really change things for my neck of the woods; after that we have a week of constant sun and 25c.

Come back, mild summers!

At 9am the heat from the sun is already incredible. It's gonna be a heck of a day.

Met Office is saying it's already 21, and expected to hit 30 at 3. Just two more days of it. Just two more days.

It’s been really foggy here from when I woke up (about 6 am) till about 9 am, had all the windows open, fans dragging the cooler air in, got the room down to about 20c! Now the suns burnt through, room up to 21c already :fp: was glorious having a couple of hours where I could play my Switch in relative comfort though, not been up early enough the rest of the week and once I’ve taken the dog out for an early morning walk it’s been too hot

Weather still predicting rain just for Tuesday, really hope we get at least some consistent rain rather than just the odd short shower on the rare occasion we’ve got rain.

Monday now up to a predicted high of 30c from 28c, this almost constant warm spell just doesn’t feel like it’ll ever end

32c now, but after rigging up the fan and ice again, it's not too bad in here.

The forecast for here has also dropped by a degree, it now says 32 instead of 33.

A couple of days ago they were suggesting it would be 35 today!

One of my favourite places is burning, because of selfish banana splits and their stupid strawberry floating barbecues. If I had my way, these shitbags would be tied to the ground and left to burn in the inferno they’ve created.

Yep, same thing happened at Bristol on thursday.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-bristol-62511957

The news is full of warnings, the fire service have pleaded with people not to use them, yet these wankers still continue to go around and setting fire to everything with them.

It reminds me of those people who still leave dogs in hot cars.

Disposable barbecues should be banned outright, and when people complain, the response should simply be to show what has been happening along with 'this is why we can't have nice things'

It’s worrying how dense a small amount of the general public are regarding open fires/BBQs in such conditions, sadly I imagine nearly all of the wildfires caused by such people will never be traced back to a particular person or set of individuals as, well I imagine it’s almost impossible.

It annoys me a little that hosepipe bans are rightly being implemented in various areas of the country at the moment, but they’re not outright banning the sales of disposable BBQs too which are obviously causing some of these fires, which need an absolute shed load more water to deal with, which in turn makes the potential water shortage worse? Sure I imagine fires near the coast could be helped along with seawater, but inland they don’t really have a choice I imagine unless they’re near a river.

Most supermarkets have removed the disposable BBQs from their shelves already.
