Good grief. This is proper 'back in the 90s you would only ever feel it if you went far away abroad for your summer holiday' heat  :dread:.

I was going to do this, but then our dog daycare decided to only run a half day because of the heat, so I'm at home still

The weather has officially gone TOO FAR this time

Just hit 30 degrees outside. Time to turn one of the computers off.

Won’t that melt the food?

Probably but then I don't really eat in this weather so it all balances out.

Please do not post this in the "No Context" thread

I dunno if it's just because I'm used to 38 degree summers and this is probably my first ever heatwave since coming back, but it doesn't seem to be that hot.

I mean, admittedly I've been inside all day working and not even been outside yet...

My portable fan is on the middle setting today. It's hot.

Hopefully the rain we've got all day tomor- *checks the MetOffice* potentially got all day tomorrow can cool things down a bit.

I mention it everytime but putting Grapes in the freezer gives you a lovely cold treat to snack on

Yeah, I guess it could have something to do with that.

I'd prefer to think it's a physical deficiency you all suffer from and that this reflects badly on you as people, as that makes me feel better about myself.

Who says that the rain will be reaching the ground? :shifty:

I've had the curtains closed in my living room to help keep the temperature down.

It's 84.5F / 29C :dread: :dread: .

I think the only visible/usable thermometers we have in the house are a Galileo thermometer and a meat thermometer. Not sure either are particularly reliable for measuring the air temperature in my office

I guess the meat thermometer could work, if you allow a glass of water to reach room temp.

Oh, no. When rain evaporates in the air, that can only mean one thing.

We're doomed.

Hang in there, Preezy! It's a 'mare because we want windows open to let in a breeze... but then loads of pollen comes in with it. It truly is a time of struggle :( .
