Spent lunch time outside, it was scortching :datass:

Noticed some little birds moving around the garden with their beaks open, flying a bit clumsily, so I assumed they were thirsty, so I've filled a shallow container up for them and put that up the top garden. Hopefully they'll see it and get a nice drink or have a bath.

Today is possibly the worst. I had an online meeting with university so had to wear a tshirt, turn my fan off and close the windows (next door are having work done). I'm now sweaty and feel grimy and after days of this I just feel drained. Ready for a break in the weather now

It remains hot and sticky in Saaf Lundn. 30C in my living room.

But... the high temperature tomorrow is predicted to be "only" 22C. Hurrah!

Where in London are you? I've got 24. Can I come and crouch outside your house? Innocent like. :shifty:

I live in a flat where the main room is blessed with double-aspect windows in which the sun shines for over twelve hours a day this time of year. I consider this a fortunate thing... unless the heat is at current levels, in which case the room is like a furnace!

I would have thought all those wasp wings flapping would have acted like air conditioning.

Car was reading 30 when I finished work, 29 once I was driving :dread:

I’ve not got an internal thermometer though so no idea how warm it was inside! Windows straight down (even through National speed limits) generated a bit of a breeze thankfully.

Got my thermometer ready with me to take in the car now, not expecting it to be quite as warm as yesterday but we'll see...

I’m not sure it’s safe to drive while using an internal thermometer.
