I like Gwent in this though, was a nice addition to things and another area where Cyberpunk feel lacking - would it have killed them to put some cool cyberware minigames in there? System Shock was doing that 25 strawberry floating years ago!

Yeah but System Shock 2 is quite possibly the greatest game ever made so it's a lot to live up to.

This is very true

Really itching to play this again, but like Metro. I know there's an improved version coming out soon. Will try to hold out!

Heavily discounted on Xbox at the moment, anyone know if I buy the GOTY edition (for the third time on 3 different platforms) will I get the Series X update for free?

Have a look aroind and see if someone has made a tool to do that. I bought the pc version of Skyrim yonks ago and found that someone made a tool to convert a usb save game from the ps3 to the pc format. It was exactly as I left my ps3 game (although it actually worked now it was on pc). Granted that's moving to pc so no drm to worry about, but it's worth investigating.

A very quick search suggests that Switch save games can be transferred to PC (and I'm assuming vice versa) but nothing getting from PC to XBox. Oh well, it'll probably be a while before the patch lands anyway so if I pick it up now for cheaps then I won't be playing it for a year anyway.

Question, should I simulate a Witcher 2 save when it asks me or should I say no? I’ve played no Witcher game before

You'll have zero context for the questions that are asked if you simulate a save. That being said, the Witcher 2 choices make next to no difference anyway so it really doesn't matter either way. Probably just go with no so you're not thinking "what the hell are they talking about" during the conversation it triggers following the prologue area.

Luckily I had someone else to hand who’d played the Witcher 2 a few times through so they gave me their interpretation of the best responses. Can’t remember them though

I'll go with no if it means I won't miss out on any content me thinks, rather than say yes then spend time Googling characters that get mentioned

Most of the choices imported don't make much difference but if you don't simulate, the game will kill off a character who has an additional quest and can help out in a fight later.

By default the game will choose these for you:

Spared Aryan La Valette
Sided with Vernon Roche
Saved Anaïs in Loc Muinne (given to Natalis)
Left Síle de Tansarville to die
Killed Letho

If you want an extra quest, save Letho.

All this talk of Skyrim had me wanting to play a proper fantasy rpg. But wait, ive got the witcher 3 that ive only played 90 hours of!

Went back to it yesterday, it's so good. I was up in a mountain area and had to go to a haunted house to detach an evil spirit from a guy (by throwing a baby in an oven  ). Then when I went to a castle to get my reward, a feast was interrupted by some of the guests turning in to bears and killing everyone. Today's job is to find out who's responsible. The detail in that feast was amazing, so much going on.

Skellige

Gorgeous but a pain to explore at times. I can’t wait till I can play this again with the next gen update.

With the next gen update this could be a good game for selection for a new GRplays? I’ll be starting a Switch run once the OLED model is out

I *still* haven't played Witcher 3 so, yeah, maybe the next gen update could be the thing that draws me in, Milner. I think the update still only has a vague "2021" date, though.
