Just gone past the 80 hour mark now and feel like I’m not far off finishing the main quest line off, hopefully get it done tomorrow, currently on the quest called Child of the Elder Blood, currently level 34 and I’ve just crafted my master crafted ursine armour, I’ve put the difficulty up to the third option now, the higher levelled armour was making it a breeze on the second option.

I’m not sure (regardless of how much I’m loving it) if I’ll have the motivation to play it though again on Series X once I’ve played through the DLC as well as it’d be a lot of time to dedicate to it again!

You're extremely close to the end of the main quest. Mastercrafted wolf armour looks the best if you can get hold of that.

Wolf armour is the one I think I'm going to go for with my playstyle, though I can't get the base diagrams yet since you need to get back to Kaer Morhen first which you can't do until further in the main quest than I am.
Which is weird given that the quest for the base diagrams is only Level 14.

I think I went with the Cat school gear for most of my original play through, it was the one that best fit my play style.

I enjoyed the quests hunting for the Witcher gear, some nice lore and world building that you find as you explore how the various diagrams ended up where they did. The expansion of the crafting and customisation of the gear in the DLC was a nice addition as well.

I’ve already opted for the Ursine one, best fits my play style and think it looks pretty neat! Conflicted about bearing the end, it’s a tremendous game that I’ll be sad to see the end of, but then there’s 2 fantastic DLC to dig into after!

How much have you explored and done side stuff along the way? If you've stuck to the main quests then you may well have a fair amount of content left from just the base game as well as the DLC to look forward to!

I've been replaying this a bit over the last week and it is still such a marvellous achievement, the world just feels so rich and well developed

I’ve no idea what percentage I’ve done, but barring Gwent (which I really didn’t take to) I’ve done a lot, got bored of discovering the ? on the map sadly but done all the side quests and Witcher contracts I’ve found so far.

I didn't get into Gwent at first but then went on a massive binge on it once I had finished the main game!

The main thing in terms of quests is obviously just making sure to visit the noticeboards and any '!' that appear on the map but there are some quest opportunities that will only appear if you explore the right places so it usually pays off to poke your nose around where possible.

Yeah I’ve cleared all bar one notice boards (not sure if any pop up in either of the DLC?), might go do that one but thought Hearts of Stone took place to the north east of Novigrad so thought the one in the corner might be higher level side quests anyway!

Done

Got the ending where Ciri lives and becomes a Witcher, not sure if thats seen as the best ending or not? Absolutely terrific game though, will probably make a start on Hearts of Stone tomorrow or over the weekend at some point.

That's probably the best ending for her. Arguably the best ending for the world is where she becomes empress.

I think the latter is the more satisfying ending personally.

Well I already knew one of the endings was Ciri dies or disappears so that’s definitely the worst of the 3? might watch the other two on YouTube anyway as I very much doubt I’ll be playing through this again anytime soon, if I do it’ll probably be on the easy setting just to try out other options in the story (although some of them seem daft to go the opposite way on, whereas some will stay the same such as killing Radovid for example, mans crazy and not killing him seems like the worst option, plus it’d be on Series X so I can see the better graphics, although the Switch version was very good in this area, considering the hardware.

Started a Hearts of Stone properly today (just did some side quests yesterday), so far it seems rather good, loved the scene on the beach (and bringing a fairly minor character back into it to), looking forward to playing some more tomorrow.

Hearts of Stone is fantastic, a really well honed slice of story DLC.

Both the DLC pieces are fantastic, and very different to one another. What a game.

Think I’m nearing the end of the first DLC, currently in the middle of a quest about solving a riddle, ran out of time first time though.

Edit, Hearts of Stone finished, a fantastic first DLC. Now onto the second and Toussaint!

At this point i started getting a bit sad, as i knew it was the beginning of the end. Savour it! It's a nice lengthy DLC (even compared to HoS) so plenty of enjoyment left to be had.
