kazanova_Frankenstein knows.

Just started the blood and wine dlc and my word does it look beautiful. A nice brighter palette and some new enemies to boot.

I would be happy if cdprojekt just gave us annual dlc of this size every year for a few more years than a new game. Its just so stunning and rich in detail. It boggles the mind that so much stuff will get unnoticed by even the most hardcore gamers.

I guess this is the final long stretch of this amazing game, which is now my favourite of this generation. It is pretty much everything i wanted in an open world game set in a medieval time. It puts other open world games like gta 5 to shame!

This is the last thing of theirs we will probably get to play until Cyberpunk 2077 comes out, which is a pretty long ways off. I hope they realise their ambition of have different teams working on differnuet projects so they can put out more content more regularly.

I just hope their two teams aren't similar to FROM softwares A and B teams, with one being greatly inferior to the other.

Their post launch support has been absolutely amazing. The best valued main game and dlc i have ever bought - it puts other developers work to shame. I hope dark souls 3's dlc is in similar scale.

If this final dlc really is 30 hours long, then its like a whole next game - more of an expansion really.

Theres not many games that you really feel like you're in this fantasy world and just so immersed. I think elder scrolls oblivion had a similar effect on me, but not to this extent. And to think i sold my first copy of this after a week of buying it! Worst decision ever, but glad i rebought it a few weeks later.

Last point - the lack of an online mode has helped this game flourish in its deep, single player experience and i do hope that their new game is similar in this respect.

The advantage that the Witcher 3 has over TES is that you play as a protagonist with place and a history within the world he is living. You aren't some mythical hero with a blackslate past who comes right the strawberry float out of nowhere. You're just a guy, a compelely badass guy, yes, but still just man with his own flaws and mistakes that occasionally come to haunt him trying to do his best against impossible odds and powerful forces. The interactions you have old friends and strangers alike feel grounded and you slip into acting the part of Geralt without even realising it; genuinely roleplaying.

Northern Realms deck How have you got two Thaler cards though? I thought only one's obtainable in the game.

The opponent is using Northern Realms too and has 11 cards so I assume he snatched it with decoy. I actually really like the Skellige deck, got all the cards now and I'm using it most matches. Cerys might be the most powerful card in the game if you have the Shield Maiden cards she calls in too.

I completed Blood & Wine earlier. Ridiculous value for the price, spent 40+ hours with it. I think I preferred Hearts of Stone overall, at least the main story of it anyway, but this was a great send-off for Geralt. The last shot before the credits roll was touching.

Just started this last night but didn't manage to get much more than 30 mins in so far. Just the 99.5hrs or so to go then!

What an envious position you are in! Take your time and enjoy the world, story and characters. Best game this generation!

Still on Hearts of Stone and really enjoying it. All except one thing: the rain! It must rain in my game 7 times out of 10! Expansion should have been called Hearts of Sodden Feet. (Yeah, I know that makes zero sense but that's how miffed I am! )

Holyshit, I forgot just how good this game was. Having a whole new region to explore is pure bliss, not to mention having an entire new city much like Novigrad. They have kept up the same level of design and writing as in the main game, and actually improved it if anything. Also, subsequent updates to both the game and GPU drivers seem to have worked wonders as I can now run it at higher settings than I could before. It also seems like they have ironed out some of my pet hates with the game, such as the menu system particularly when havign to look for books and documents and improved other things like the map somewhat.

Most devs just use updates to fix glitches and errors within the game post release, but it seems CDR are actually still improving on the game itself, refining and tweaking things that they did not have time for in the initial development. Honestly I really appreciate that they seem to care so much about delivering the best possible experience for players even after they have got their money. It shows that they take real pride in their work.

This game. I'm level 8 now and already feeling jealous of people just starting. There is some amazing story progression in this.
Hopefully the level scaling means I can really tick off everything without rendering some missions I am overlevelled for boring / redundant.

About 17 hours into Blood & Wine now. Still lots to do and I'm halfway to completing my grandmaster set. So good.

I've explored Toussaint a bit but am yet to do any of the main story quests. This has to be the most immersive game I've ever played. Will probably start an NG+ and do it all again after the summer.

Cannot wait for Cyberpunk 2077, if it's done to this standard it should be amazing.

It took me over an hour to beat the final boss in Scenes from a Marriage Was tempted to bump difficulty down, but stuck with whatever hardest setting but one is. (Bones something?) Thank the gods (as it were) the game takes pity and sets a checkpoint on final spectre! The one positive being that he didn't have a bullshit regen health ability. FU caretaker and wraith!
