I’m kind of not surprised given what they have done to it and the hardware the consoles are working with. Would have been nice for some optimisation. 30 is unplayable in my opinion, but it’s all a case of what you are used to.

I'm assuming the pro consoles will be able to play this on quality mode at 60fps in a stable fashion.

I'm playing on performance mode and the graphics still seem bloody amazing.

I haven't tried it yet but I was reading something on it the other day. I think you have to enable the cloud save in the Switch settings on W3, then select the save you want in the cloud (you only get one).

Aye, tried that and my save isn’t showing on the Xbox.

I'm actually looking forward to this, only just finished the main game last Summer and it took me a while but reallly got into it, the end battle was fantastic! Will probably just play the expansions as I've not completed those.

I'm playing as Mr. Nice Guy :toot:

I'm constantly penniless :fp: .

I'm also refusing to kill any wildlife.
I'm sure I'm going to be ultra loved and adored by the end of the game :capnscotty: .

I'm killing deer when I see one, Its nice to slowly trot towards some and hit with cross bow for easy raw meat/dear skin.

The game was always a looker but it's even more impressive now. To be fair to CD Projekt Red, this and Cyberpunk right now are among the better looking games of this new gen despite their last gen origins. Weird that they dropping their in house engine for Unreal 5 going forward.

PC hotfix released, no version update.

As someone with a new and yet untested 3080Ti I was/am looking forward to giving this a go. Hopefully they get manage to get RTX stable at higher resolutions soon!

Still a bit wary, will hold off until there are reports on whether they've actually fixed the issues

PC performance is definitely improved for me. Holding a stable 60fps with auto DLSS on and everything turned up full.

The longer I play, the more I appreciate what the ray tracing is doing. The ambient light and how it changes with the weather or artificial lights being on and off is actually impressive, makes places feel far more different as the weather and time of day shifts.

Edit: then I went to Novigrad and the framerate nosedives. performance is still much better than before though.

I've put a further 8 hours or so into this since the patch, and on the main story path I'm still searching for Dandelion.

There is far too much of this game, I will probably never see the DLC sections until I retire.

I'm ten hours in and still making mistakes in the combat. I'm enjoying it, though. Definitely invested enough to keep it as a primary game.

Human to Human combat is great because you can tell when they will strike so can dodge/block at right time, a lot of monsters have tells also but I have a major problem with ghosts/aspirations as they don't really have any 'tell' of note and disappear and reappear behind you, really strawberry floating annoying.

There's a ghost early on for one of the side quests (nelly in the woods I think?) and it's a total ball ache. I use Quen constantly, then if I get brave ill burn em with Piro but the combat can be annoying.

Yup. Encountered that side quest last night. Wouldn't be too bad if her health didn't regen in literal seconds during the phase where she brings out some minions. I'll give it another try sometime.

Generally you'll want to use Yrden for ghosts. It's the purple one that puts a big circle on the ground, anything that steps into it is slowed and forced into corporeal form so you can damage them.

Also, the roll is gooseberry fool. Always dodge, don't bother rolling. Disclaimer: Correct at time of my last play-through. May have changed with this update.

I was doing pretty great with it by using that. But as I say, literal seconds of health regen undoes it all! Maybe I can get lucky if I also spam it to create a larger area where she's able to be attacked. I keep forgetting I can put more than one down.

Yeah, you've got to be quite quick on the draw! I think you can stop it early if you find the correct one among the copies she summons.

Hopefully it won't come to that. She can't regen all her health in seconds if she's barely got any left, after all.
