As long as you remember to say 'many thanks' it will balance it out!

It sounds kind of familiar to my private healthcare job. I gave a ridiculous three months notice there and they just played it cool. By the end of the three months they were in a panick and trying everything to make me stay so I just gave them an offer that was ever so slightly past the line of being reasonable. Of course, they still tried to talk me down like I was playing a bluffing game.

Felt good walking out on my last day.

I haven't used any holiday this year either so, if everything goes ahead, I'll be making sure I use that during the notice or, if not, get paid for it.

I can still see the exchange now

"....... :| .........is it for more money?"

Me "Yes, a lot more"

" :x .......... :| ......... if I matched it would you stay?"

"No"

"Fuuuuuuuuu"

He didn't talk to me for the remainder of my notice period. He did however send emails saying I should stay as he'd spent a lot of money on my laptop"

How passive-aggressive and emotionally blackmailish is that?

When I left my last job, my boss basically said, ‘Anything we can do to change your mind?’ I said no, and that was it. AD’s ex-boss sounds terrible.

God, I love the feeling of leaving a job. Still have a giggle at the footage of me leaving my last job on the last day:

I haven't ever left a job before, been at this place now and in my 6th year. I don't know when I'll leave but the thought of finding a new job is so stressful and from what I've seen I'll have to take a pay cut which doesn't seem worth it.

I think my big thing is if I ever leave I want to go do something else, I don't really want to do support again somewhere else because it'll just be the same gooseberry fool in a different place.

I can only imagine it auto-completed the date for them when they wrote 'Tuesday'.

Either that or they're a complete fruit loop :slol:

It's always a 4 day week in my world. It's pretty glorious.

Check out my YouTube channel!

I just agreed to a meeting Friday morning without realising it's bank holiday :fp:

Should've scheduled it for March 31st! There is no March 31st.

At the risk of a meme going way over my head... what about the one tomorrow? :shifty:

I didn't think March 31st existed.

I mean, 31 March is a human construct, so as far as >99.9999999% of the universe is concerned, it doesn't exist!
