I think if I was in the process of saying that sentence, I would get to wiggle, realise I had already said 'room' and awkwardly add a belated 'ing'.

Not much room for wiggling. You need to account for it :shifty:.

I'm not sure which is worse, the video itself or the Norwegian language/accent :slol:.

I used to work in corporate video producing small agency and that is cringe as strawberry float.

Office environments are impossibly distracting for me and discriminatory, so for access to work to slide back into the dark ages would reduce my future opportunities with stupid propaganda like this.

"It should be common sense to just accept the message Nintendo are sending out through their actions."

I've been in touch with another recruiter and given them what I wanted, they basically said the benefits I get at my current company (holiday days etc.) are probably better than I'll find anywhere else in the current climate and getting a fully remote position will be hard. I'm currently fully remote now and while I get annoyed working here I can't see it being any better anywhere else. I'll keep looking but it looks like maybe things are not as bad for me here as I thought they were lol.

30 years? You think we'll ever have the money to retire?

My wife just emailed her old consultant (a very serious middle aged Asian man) for a reference and got his out of office which at the end said #freebritney :slol:

Got a teams meeting on Friday with a company that was impressed with my CV. They wanted to skip straight to an in person interview but they wanted to do it during work hours which I definitely can't do.

Issue is they want me to work from the office, it's local, in the same place basically as I was already working but I want to be full remote. I've got no interest in ever returning to an office and I currently don't even have a suit to be able to do interviews with lol. I'll do this teams thing they've organised and ask all the questions I want. It'll come down to how much additional salary I'll need and what sort of job I'll be doing I guess before I can decide. The role title is a step up from what I'm currently doing and it's mostly Azure work, but the whole thing is so draining. I'm not super happy where I am, but at the very least I'm fully remote so I'm happy with that. I hate interviews, I hate all this bullshit and I just want to live an easy life T_T

Just got another interview request from a company willing to pay me a consirable more than I'm currently on. They're 2 hours away each way for 2 days a week so I definitely can't take it if I have to go to the office, I'd sooner have no job than have to travel that far, but he said he'll see if they can get it offered as a full remote position. If he could that'd be incredible.

Teams interview confirmed with the first company tomorrow at 2PM. God I really can't be bothered with this stuff but I suppose even if I don't take the job it's good experience.

You've got this, Qikz. The interview is as much for you to scope out the employer as it is for them check you out. Some will go well, some won't. But you'll learn from each of them and eventually the right one will come along.

Good luck tomorrow.

Thing is I'm not even sure I want to work for this company. They said they don't really want people working from home and that's the biggest turn off for me immediately. They're only the same bus ride I used to do away since they're literally in the next road to where I used to work, but I can't go back to an office. I seriously don't even want to. I think I'll just do the interview and see what they're willing to offer me, but I think I'll turn them down in the end. Still interview experience is interview experience.

Exactly. And you might even feel differently when you get talking to them. The best thing is to have as many interviews as you can and eventually you'll find a diamond in the rough. Or at least an edible nut in the gooseberry fool.
