Good work. Any pay rise in the current climate is an achievement :toot:

Got offered a new job last night. Don't have it in writing yet, but it's looking good.

Congrats Ad :toot:

A whole new team to annoy you in various ways ;)

These are (mostly) people I've worked with before, so they know what they're getting themselves in to :datass:

Yeah but the new office has all you can eat crisps in the break room.

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

Yay got the job!! Is effective from Tuesday as thats the start of the next pay run so yay!! Literally no change to my actual job as in the last couple of months I've started taking on more responsibility for development and design in projects so this is effectively work putting me onto the pay for the work they ahve started asking me to do because I wanted to do it, so yeah all good :D

I've received a letter today from someone called Dr Lucinda McWhor.

Imagine having to spell that out your whole life  "yep... just like the word, um, well you know, but without an E".

I've had a few of these. My favourite was a dude who changed his name to Jesus Christ.

'Jesus Christ is on the phone again lads!'

When I was working in my first job in a call centre many years ago, the computer system was set up to show male customers names in the format of “ J SMITH ESQ”.

Imagine my 16yr old self trying not to burst out laughing when “W ANKER ESQ” appeared on a screen when some bloke gave me his account number! Poor bloke must have hated his parents for naming him William or whatever the W stood for!

There's someone who works in our organisation who has the fist name "Cock" and has still managed to rise to the level of Vice President of something or other

Also belated congrats to Ad and Errkal on new jobs :toot:

Cheers. It's not in writing yet though so I'm not getting too carried away.

Update on this:
  • Boss is never returning. He's quit outright.
  • Area manager turns up today to give us the news.
  • LewisD is promoted to Boss :datass:
  • Remember that old Boss quit due to stress :dread:
  • Payrise is strawberry floating epic :datass:
