I can only think it'll be one of the below:

No bonus because we don't like him.
Can we force him back to the office yet?
Can we make him redundant?
Can we pile more work on him as punishment?

I'd love to be able to call them all out for the despicable banana splits that they are and walk out but I've nowhere else to go yet.

Got some really easy out of hours work today. That should be a small bit of extra pay for this month!

Although it's absolutely none of their business I still wouldn't mention it at work because some traditionalists see it as "taking energy" or "focus" away from your "main job" as if they own you or something, which is of course strawberry floating ridiculous.

If it does come up just tell them you are getting paid more, that definitely makes the conversation more interesting.

I'm self employed (no, really) but yesterday I shaved for the first time in what must have been about 6 weeks.

I did have other gooseberry fool going on though, and I'm pretty certain only one of my clients (who lives across from me) noticed. And I don't really want her as a client anyway, so figures

Ah good, tech tends to take care of each other in this respect. Just don't you even think of "stealing" your skills and taking them somewhere else!

I once got paid extra to literally sit and watch the temperature level on a kiln one late afternoon. If it went too low and a light turned on or something, I was to call someone. I'll let you guess what happened.

Yeah but you get paid top dollar, the warehouse bunch are lucky if they even get paid at all. And they have to actually go into work.

Have you considered roping in one of the warehouse staff to open all the mail whilst he's there?
