Would I be well within my rights to say I'm not using my own phone for work calls? I don't mind taking calls through the work laptop of that's possible but using my own phone is bullshit.

Tell them the app won't work on your phone or you can't get it working on your phone.

They should provide you with the equipment you need to do your job really.

After having a rant on here and my usual attack of stress and anxiety over nothing, I've managed to set it up on the work laptop quite easily.

You are within your rights but realistically does it really matter and is it worth making a grumble about it.

 My kinda guy.

From memory, my impression was that you were quite a health focused individual. What's your usual breakfast?

Things have changed a bit since lockdown but at least before then it was like clockwork.

At home: huge bowl of cereal; protein shake if yesterday was a gym day.

*travel to work*

As soon as I'm settled at my desk I would eat a banana, an apple and a couple of whatever fruit is orange and in season (loving the satsumas right now).

With lockdown in place, I'm sort of keeping it the same in terms of the cereal/fruit combo except fitness has fallen totally off the wagon so there's no protein shake and I'm drinking several litres of coffee even though I don't need it.

Do you think maybe the sugar in the fruit and cereal is triggering an insulin response which is why you are so hungry around 11?

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

Could be.

The usual advice I receive is either:

1. add oats to the cereal
2. do something with eggs

Both of these tip the balance unfavourably in terms of taste and convenience, respectively. I enjoy the bowl of cereal and fruit combo and it's just so quick/easy to prepare.

Did you enjoy it or was it just convenient?

I would honestly feel a bit sick if I had that for breakfast! I can't handle chocolate in the morning.

The mocha is part of my usual breakfast :shifty:

The brownie is a bit extreme even for me  but I would usually have something a bit sweet, like a welshcake or some biscuits.

I use sweet food to trick myself into getting out of bed you see.

I have instant porridge, to which I then chop up and add some fresh fruit, like a banana or blueberries. Sometimes I'll add a bit of honey. I then try to convince myself I'm not hungry until 2PM.

The 1700 calories a day life. :(

Nothing wrong with having something sweet for breakfast. I used to have ice cream as breakfast back in my uni days :datass:

The sausage as a breakwater has become a regular feature of a cooked breakfast in our house 8-)

Tell them to provide you with a work phone if they want you to take work calls.

I have dried banana chips which are sweet yet kind of savoury at the same time, so if the first thing I want to put in my mouth waking up is a sugar boost, I do that while boiling the kettle and then have an actual breakfast. But usually just lunch as I get up at like 12pm most days pretty much all year due to medication and general sleep problems.

I've done banana, 100% peanut butter and yoghurt smoothies before as well, pretty much don't need breakfast then.

Had literally no work or new tickets to do for the last hour and a half, everything I had was up to date so I cracked open a cider and played VRChat for a bit waiting for a call. Fun day.

Not been paid today. My bank is sending warning shots left right and centre.

RIP me, coming soon to a channel 5 near you :slol:.

Damn that's gooseberry fool, hopefully it'll be sorted soon. Although, do you not leave a few days buffer between money coming in and bills going out? I always try to make my bills go out a few days after the 1st, where possible.

In my wisdom I set direct debits to always go out on payday :fp: felt 'neater' to see the actual amount left to me straight away, rather than watch chunks fall off the balance over a number of days.

Bank says make sure my account is topped up by 2.30pm :slol:.

I'm guessing you can't just temp move over some savings for a few days?
