What possible reason could anyone have for not accepting an invoice over email? :|

You really only accept documents via the postal service? strawberry floating pleb.

Just been chewed out because apparently I'm too direct and rude in my emails and I need to watch my tone.

I can only laugh because my emails are always ridiculously polite and half the time I start replies by saying "thank you" before even saying "hello".

All because I tried to explain to a customer I was emailing them an invoice instead of risking someone's health in a post office.

You could really lean into it. Say that you are grateful for feedback and ask them to go through every single one of your emails over the past month and have them identify which parts were rude or too direct and ask them to explain exactly what they would say differently in that situation, maybe record the session for future use in an emails comms training package they might want to create in order to unify messaging across staff?

Essentially, a massive ballache/waste of time that would involve them going on record for their pedantry and give them a load of extra gooseberry fool to do that they don't want to, but wrapped in a shell of positivity.

Are you brave enough to paste the email in here so we can reach a GRcade consensus on the tone? ;)

..Does the customer in question lack their own state of the art on-site printing facilities?

They do realise letter headed paper (MUST be Conquerer) or signatures are totally meaningless right?

Maybe they want it date stamped by the post office to prove its a real invoice and not a scam.

strawberry float me just pay the invoice or strawberry float off, why does it need to be that complicated. Half the time my customers pay me before I've even issued them a PDF invoice these days because that's the way my business works, no exceptions.

Actually I treat accepted quotes as commitments so the invoice is just a record that they've paid it within a couple of days usually..

Weird I thought you literally can't get called or messaged if you're presenting?

Yeah, same. Unless Ad doesn't mean 'presenting' as in 'sharing my screen', and was just the lead on a call?

I was screen sharing, and it had a notification that during that someone was trying to ring me. This person does this a lot, and will just call with no context, usually to read through an email you've sent days before, for the first time while talking to them, and then ask you want you mean.

Get an email from a bank who want to ensure they will maintain access to our service once their merger goes through. The bank has never been one of our customers.

Seriously. I work 7:30-4 and that's with a 1 hour lunch break. Are you working compressed hours over 4 days per week or something?
