As long as they are purely a distributor and keep the hell away from meddling that's great news. Been meaning to check out progress.

Sounds interesting, but I don't think I'd pay the higher price to watch UK indie shows, I can't even get through all the WWE stuff they have every week!
I wonder if WWE would ever try to secure old TV shows and movies for the network that the likes of Netflix, Hulu and Amazon don't want? I'm sure there's thousands of them out there, and I assume they'd be cheapish seeing as they wouldn't exactly be grade A material. They could start with some of their own shitty movies and see if anybody watches them.

Just watched smackdown, what s total non reaction for mickie James. I know most people guessed it was her but the reaction was like people didn't even know who she was.

I can't see anything but disaster if they take on indy content. WWE have had almost absolute control on their content for years and I don't see it working well with them suddenly having uncontrolled content on the network. Yes I know it will probably be vetted before it goes up, but everything on there at the moment had already gone though the Mcmahon filter once.

Yeah, don't think they should have had her have that match for NXT before bringing her back to the main roster, took a bit of a shine off it. Plus it was a shitty way to bring her back anyway.

Apparently it would sit on the on-demand section and have a load of parental warnings slapped on it like ECW and Attitude Era content does currently. I haven't personally looked to see what they've done with nudity though. Even on the old VHS releases they'd occasionally leave it in (Capital Carnage) and other times blur it out (Armageddon '99).

If it needs a different tier of pricing it may even have a different look and be clearly partitioned off.

With legacy stuff I can see the justification, but when you hear about Bryan being sacked the first time for choking someone with a tie, and then who was it who got sacked for a segment that involved the national anthem(?) Titus getting suspended for hugging Vince etc, to me it doesn't seem like a good matc. As soon as something controversial goes up from an independant and some parent complains I can see it getting the chop.

Don't get me wrong, with common sense they can do it but Vince seems a little bit light on common sense and reasonable decisions to say the least! :dread:

Decided to take advantage of the special offer sent to me by WWE. I get the next 3 PPV's for free so I'm enjoying NXT and will catch up with the Smackdown stuff.

EDIT: This Elias Samson fella in NXT is strawberry floating massive. Wonder if he's on anything :slol:

Was there ever an official line from the WWE as to why they suspended him?

To be fair the only reason I knew who she was, was because of that match.

Plus it's not like they played her music or anything. You're not going to be able to tell who she was unless everyone in the arena was looking at the screen and they had a close up of her up there.

They normally would have that image on the titantron, pretty much everything that is being shown on tv is on the screen at the same time. I know when I've been to a Raw tv taping I'm often watching the screen more often than the actual ring. To be fair a bit the steel cage does make it a bit hard to see her face though.

There's a NJPW/CMLL show on just now and it's bloody mental  So much fun.

There's someone called "EVIL" and he came out dressed as the Grim Reaper with a massive scythe.

Interestingly it's not being billed as 5 Star Wrestling by Spike and Channel 5 though. In fact there's no reference to the promotion whatsoever. The programme is officially titled "Dominant Wrestling: Live From Dundee" at 8pm.

What's the channel 5 link? I've only seen reference to spike.

Channel 5 (Viacom) owns Spike and is part of the same on-air TV family alongside FiveUSA and 5 Star. And that, as it turns out, is maybe why they're not calling it 5 Star Wrestling.

Watching the 2012 Royal Rumble... Regretting it. The most gimmicky Rumble I've ever seen. All three announcers being entrants... (that includes Cole!) the sock puppet duel, Del Rio's announcer... So bad. Up to 27 (Otunga! I'm genuinely not making it up), but there's not a single guy currently involved that deserved to headline WrestleMania.

It was such a let down. I remember rumour circulating that sheamus would win but still I chose to remain strong and convince myself that something awesome would happen. Nothing awesome happened :fp:
