From everyone who entered last night it'd be best for business of Jericho won

Hes leaving the month after Mania though, as confirmed by himself would be a waste as he clearly wouldnt win title.

If Owens drops the title they can still do Owens v Y2J.

Cant see both Owens and Cena dropping titles as rumours suggest though, its getting silly now.

It's 2017 and Randy Orton is winning the Royal Rumble and Cena is still winning championships.

There's at least 5 people I can think of off the top of my head that get a bigger reaction than Orton.

CuriousOyster wrote:Who would folk have rather won?

Lesnar would be too obvious and Taker winningnwould have been daft. Suppose Goldberg would have been good.

Jericho to build towards the storyline of him and Owens splitting up.

Doesn't matter if he's leaving a full month later. Owens and him have been the best thing about Raw for a long time now and having Jericho win would have put them in the spotlight against each other and the fact that Owens get a big WM win against Y2J (a clean win for a change) while defending his UC would help cement as the top dog

This. It's the second time Jericho has lost a Rumble that he should have won.

Owens v Y2J for the title isnt nearly as big as Orton v Cena by a long stretch. Seen it loads of times (you would over 12 years) but you put your big names, in big matches at big events.

My preference was for a Jericho rumble win to set up a match v Owens at mania. The next month or so could have been spent with them slowly falling out. However I'm not expecting Owens to still have the belt at mania. They will probably still fight though and maybe it will be for the US title instead.

After this, the other options for me were a lesnar or Goldberg win with the other picking up the title in the meantime. If rumours are true that Goldberg will take the title off Owens soon then lesnar winning the rumble would have made more sense. I would have gone the other way round though and had Goldberg win the rumble and lesnar wanting to fight him at mania but he's told no, so he wins the title in order to get to face Goldberg at mania.

More options if taker and cena are going to fight at mania the. Taker could have won the rumble.

I would say on orton though, just because he's won the rumble it doesn't mean that he's in the final match of mania. You know how WWE now like to claim to have at least three main events at mania now, they will call the universal title and world title matches as main events and also any match that involves Goldberg, taker or lesnar too.

Highly unlikely it will be Orton V Cena. They've been doing this Orton/Wyatt storyline for months, Orton joining the Wyatt family was hardly going to be a long term thing so a 'Mania match always seemed obvious...just didn't think it would be a main event title match!

Surely they have to turn Reigns heel after this weekend. Do they really want their top babyface booed out of the building against Taker at Wrestlemania?

They didn't care at last year's Wrestlemania. Or the Royal Rumble the year before that.

Mixed, extremely loud reaction is far better than silence.

Then why do they doctor the audio to hide the boos?

Exactly or spend ages doctoring footage and images to paint him in a positive light.

No doubt they'll make the same mistake that they did with Cena, the difference is that Cena had the persona and charisma to play off of the boos. Reigns on the other hand doesn't, it won't end well.

Why use the future tense? We're now nearing the three year mark of Reigns' face push, it's demonstrably failed already. It's the wrestling equivalent of Zombie Simpsons.

They're basically modelling Reigns on Cena, same kind of reaction he's been getting for years, but he's still a big star and people give a gooseberry fool when he shows up, be it a good or bad gooseberry fool :slol: It's all down to mech sales I suppose, if he's selling why make any major change.

I think a heel turn now could save it. Problem is they've had their chances in the past and squandered them, I feel this is the last chance they have before they reach the point of no return with him. Even more so if as a 'face' he beats Taker at Mania.

WWE has started trialling 4K on YouTube:

I wonder if the Network will go 4K before the year is out...for an additional fee.

Did anyone see the story at the weekend about JBL accidentally tweeting a screenshot of him watching nxt with a tab open saying Katya kyptova nude. It's a very masculine female bodybuilder.

The Network struggles with quality as it is.
