Yeah John Morrison being the biggest name being released from what I can see. Wonder if it’s anything to do with his wife being released? Maybe he requested it.

2K must be having an absolute nightmare.

They made a big deal of calling up Hit Row to SmackDown and a few weeks later they’ve now fired the lot of them.

I think the build to Survivor Series this weekend has to be the worst one I can remember. Just a load of meaningless matches and a RAW/SD rivalry nobody could possibly give a gooseberry fool about.

Trouble is WWE is releasing more wrestlers than AEW can ever need or use. BTW, I thought the way they set up Hangman Page vs Daniel Bryan (and turned him heel) and CM Punk vs MJF on Dynamite on Wednesday was great.

Yeah Hit Row is the biggest question mark.

Bring them up for two weeks, then fire them. Someone suggested they were only brought up to have 90 Day No Complete Causes for Main Roster guys rather than the 30 Day No Complete NXT Stars had.

The new WWE Game looks good but yeah the roster is going to be a shambles if they've got everyone in there that they've released.

Watched Full Gear yesterday. Darby/MJF was fantastic, Bryan/Miro was great, Punk/Kingston was a textbook example of how to do a brawl.

FTR and Lucha Bros have no chemistry. I don't like it when wrestlers have to awkwardly wait on spots. Oh and Dax got KO'd which ruined the finish.

Every bad thing I've ever heard about the Bucks got justified in that match: waiting too long for dives, skinny guys no selling, no sense of pacing, that stupid strawberry floating thumbtacks in the mouth spot which doesn't even get heat or end the match despite such an action being an attempted murder in the real world.

Jerico's stuff sucked but it was funny seeing him screaming for Junior Dos Santos after he missed his cue for a spot.

Main event was good, just merely good which is fine.

if you look at all the people wwe have released this year, you could arguably make up a roster that's better than what they currently have.

It's amazing really how much of a decent addition Punk and Bryan have been in terms of realism and decent feuds. Omega has stood out like a sore thumb since he went heel, far too cartoonish, he had some good matches but he always seems to just go a bit too daft at times.

Bryan and Punk have a much more realistic style. Punk is obviously still getting up to speed but has been pretty impressive given his time away. Bryan is the absolute gold standard in wrestling at the moment though in my opinion. He can just seemlessly do anything in terms of character. It feels a bit soon to have him in a world title match, as they either have to pull the trigger or come up with a good way for him to lose.

Punk/MJF should be great as I imagine that pic of MJF getting Punks autograph will come up. It's a good pairing for MJF as I feel he can grow a hell of a lot from it. I'd put him with Bryan next too.

As for WWE, it's hilarious that the one match of interest (Flair/Lynch) is only interesting because of a completely unplanned spot. It makes a mockery of having a writing team. If they want to reduce costs, they should get rid of the writers and go back to a booking committee made up of people with wrestling experience.

I’ve never really paid much attention to Dave Meltzer’s star ratings in the past, but I’ve just seen on Twitter that he gave this match 5 stars. I’m beginning to think he’s lost the plot.

I think he has started scoring popular stuff well even if standards wise it's a dumpster fire,

Just seen a couple of clips of Survivor Series. Vince produced the egg from his Limo and had to visibly wave his hand to get the loser wrestlers to cheer. I don't think any of them had any idea what was going on! :slol:

Currently watching the majority of Survivor Series on DailyMotion.

The Pizza Hut promotion during the battle royal was abysmal (what a way to celebrate The Rock’s 25th…)
Vince McMahon is gradually becoming unintelligible, and looks more frail and lost every time he appears on TV.
Everything about this PPV (with the exception of the damn $100 million gold egg) is like those UK Sky Box Office PPVs, pointless and forgettable. Has to be the worst PPV event of the year from the fed or AEW, which is sad for what was once one of the biggest events on the calendar.

At one point the crowd was so disinterested they started doing a Mexican wave during the woman’s elimination tag. And then started chanting CM Punk.

It's not as frequent an occurrence as it used to be, thankfully. Security around that side of the stage though never looks particularly robust. Potential knife attack is always the first thing that goes through my head.

Remember how WCW had a tendency to keep the cameras on those who jumped the barricade because it usually resulted in the fan getting beaten up and Bobby Heenan taking the piss.

I do. A bit dangerous though as it just encouraged more people to do.

The perp filmed a video of himself outside cutting a "promo" on Colby Lopez (Seth's real name :fp:). He said he done it for the Bloodline. Clear amounts of delusion and mental illness in this one.

Safe to say MJF/CM Punk promo didn't dissapoint. Watched the whole thing this morning and for a 20min promo it absolutely flew by!

I’m really liking the Arc Punks having in AEW, makes the build up (which I’m assume will come eventually) for the title even better.

I read an interview where he said coming back to WWE would have just been the standard Rumble appearance and Mania match. Whilst I’d still have liked that to be honest this is much better
