So tempted to skip Fastlane and watch the NJPW show from this morning instead. Read stellar things about Naito vs Ibushi and Tanahashi vs Umino. I'm excited to see ZSJ vs EVIL too.

Ha, I was thinking the same myself. Took a break from my NJPW catch up and watched a bit of a highlights package of Fast Lane this morning.

Raw tag champ, US Title, WWE Title and Shield matches were all actually really good. Skipped the rest.

Back to NJC tomorrow.

Everyone seems to be in WCW 2000 mode at the moment on social media and TV ‘shooting’ and talking about “characters”, “fakery” and using their real names.

Just what is going on with EC3? They hyped his debut onto the main roster and then did absolutely nothing with him and now they’re just jobbing him out on Main Event every other week. The Scottish Daffney has gone under the radar as well.

Why keep calling up NXT wrestlers when they seemingly have zero ideas, I don’t get it.

They used him on Fast Lane as well (or maybe it was RAW, everything seems to blend together these days!), but only in a brief backstage segment where 2 women whose names I forget laughed at his fake tan and called him a creep.

Great watching the J Cup final there, I would have been happy to have seen either of them win but I think Okada has the better chance of getting the belt from Jay White, the man who has the most punchable face in NJPW (tied with Tama Tonga).

Loved the semi final match against Ishii too. His Rainmaker headbutt counter was full of OOYAH.

I hadn't realised that their MSG special was WrestleMania weekend. I don't think it'll be physically possible to watch that and all the WWE stuff as well. Do you reckon Vince would mind if I asked him to move 'Mania out a week?

Jay White permanently looks like a rabbit in headlights Still think it's absolutely bizarre he's champion, I can't ever see him being a big international star and the replacement for Omega like they desperately want him to be.

I think that MSG special was one of the reasons the NXT Takeover was move to the Friday since they were originally on the same day. Some lassies from Stardom are coming over for it too
