Surely the announcers must know by now that when AEW goes to commercial on TNT, Fite always stays with it in some form. Sometimes they shoot the arena wide and cut the microphones, but not always. Earlier in the night they also picked up the commentators laughing at Justin Roberts for wearing a coat the whole night. He also brought back his “Johhhhhhhhhhhhhhhn Cena Moxley” shtick too.

Good show overall though. Very wrestling heavy, which led to the best women’s match thus far.

Roberts has announced Moxley like that literally every time he's been on AEW.

First time I’ve noticed (and that’s only because the commentators pointed it out).

I suppose I just didn’t subconsciously link it with John Cena.

The first lot of matches are alway filler tag team stuff.

The Stardom dark match started off the preshow yesterday but they couldn't air it.

What an incredible 2 nights of wrestling. Nothing touches New Japan in terms of in-ring quality. Excellent stuff.

Good to hear it's good (not that I should doubt New Japan). Just starting night one now :)

Latest episode of NWA Powerrr, Scott Steiner :dread:

Also, Jericho badly needs to lose weight. His match at the weekend really showed how sluggish he is getting. I was amazed he could do that drop kick off the corner given how large he is now.

+1 for goosebumps. Phenomenal show, took me flippin ages to watch it all, but jeezo it was worth it.

So, so glad they didn't pull a fast one with Jay White. His stupid Cat Weazle beard makes his face even more punchable.

Brandi Rhodes was hilarious on commentary last night on Dynamite, as she spent the majority of the match running down what most viewers have probably been thinking for weeks now: why the hell is Excalibur (who she called "Exhibit") wearing a mask on commentary when he looks ridiculous; why is everyone playing into the absurdity of Kris Statlander being an alien when she's clearly just a woman in face paint; that she'd rather take a nap than watch the upcoming boring match, which was shortly followed up by Jim Ross noting that Britt Baker (who was watching in the crowd) looking "totally disinterested", as Brandi commented she couldn't possibly be a real Dr as she's far too dense with nothing going on upstairs. Reminded me of heel Michael Cole in 2011 when he was just pointing out all the obvious bullshit on the show every week.

This wasn't exactly a good night for AEW, not helped by a crowd that on the whole were really flat most of the night. The commentators were also mildly amused at the amount of plugs DDP was getting in for his own stuff, and he then dispatched of the Butcher and Blade with Diamond Cutters. At least the show ended on a high though with John Moxley/Jericho.

Bash at the Beach next week! With a returning DDP in the main event as part of a 6 man tag.

Toni Storm needs to be called up to the main NXT roster, she’s far too good to be kept on NXT: UK!........also :datass: The current NXT female crop is the best they’ve ever had, better than the “4 horse women” era IMO.

She was good enough to be on the main roster ages ago. There's to many talented wrestlers just stagnating in NXT UK to the point where it's could be starting to affect the development of the younger ones who otherwise would have been booked on indies in Japan and the US. That promotion is such a waste and they're just stockpiling folk after the World of Sport knee-jerk and don't know what to do with then.

There's a UK Takeover this weekend apparently.

Signed up to AEW Plus on the Fite app a few weeks ago.

So much better than waiting for ITV to maybe put it up before half a week has passed.
