Like an oasis in a desert of dogshit, Kofi Kingston and MVP had a great promo against each other on Raw. I was honestly shocked that they actually made Kofi look really cool coming out of it!

I mean it's more of a badge of honour being blocked by Hogan at this point.

I feel for JR, its really easy to make that kind of slip when you were so ingrained in one company for the bulk of your career. Not to mention with the branding change, WWE was literally lazered into his brain by Vince in the early 2000s.

I changed jobs 3 years ago and am still referring to certain things the way I would in my old job which I did for 11 years.

I think they should leave the presenting to Excalibur and Shiavone, and just let JR call the matches, which he is still excellent at doing.

One thing for certain is that this new WWE dynamite show is better than Raw and SD. Not sure they can pull off four brands though.

Since he wasn’t a huge name this might go largely unnoticed but Del Wilkes who wrestled as The Patriot from the late 80’s to late 90’s passed away after a heart attack aged 59 recently.

I remember him feuding with Bret Hart with the interesting twist of him being viewed as a face in the US but largely seen as the heel in the UK and Canada who were very pro Hart family.

Some people may remember when he appeared on Gamesmaster alongside Marcus Alexander Bagwell (as seen on a recent Cheeky Devlin stream) but he is perhaps best known for having the entrance theme that was eventually used by Kurt Angle.

My most vivid memory of him would be from Ground Zero: In Your House. He wasn't around for long at all, felt no more than 3 or 4 months.

I don't think there's much (any?) WCW content on the WWE Network from his run in 1994 and 95 aside from PPV events.

Maybe a WCW Saturday Night appearance if that show is on The Network.

I see Jimmy Uso has been collared for DWI again. Why do the Uso's always seem to get into trouble right in the middle of a prominent push.

It’s weird and very annoying.

Even more annoying considering it’s the best ongoing storyline in either WWE or AEW at the moment.

Appears to have a bit of a drink problem.

Sounds like Terry Funk is in a bad way with his official Twitter reporting he is in residential care for issues affecting his body and mind after reports he was suffering from dementia were first heard on Don Muraco’s podcast.

There is a very sad video of Paul Orndorf out there too taken by his son. He also appears to suffering from dementia.

After seeing what dementia did to my grandmother I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy, it’s a truly awful illness particularly in the early stages where she knew there was something wrong.

Totally agree. It's heart breaking when you see clips of him at his peak too, to hear about how he is now. Dementia is just strawberry floating awful and cruel.

Really sad news about Funk (nice touch with the shirt from Eddie Kingston last night)

Decided to get Fite TV back on again now the fans are back for Dynamite. Thoroughly entertaining episode last night, crowd made all the difference again - felt like an early 00s ECW show, particularly with the ramp connected to the ring and the hard camera being in the stage. Then you had all the swearing, the chaotic fan run-in during the Jericho segment (that initially appeared to throw him off a bit as he sat at the desk), the irony of Jericho calling someone else a fat bastard, the street fight main event, that bloke that was quite blatantly supposed to be channeling Jim Cornette (he’s living rent free as they say in Tony Khan’s head…), the shocking debut of Black…

Talking of Aleister Black, what a brilliant debut (nice of WWE to run all those vignettes on SmackDown, fire him, and then basically have the guy re-debut on their competition), but the commentary was a strawberry floating shambles and a great example of why I’m sure Vince McMahon micromanages and feeds the announce team so many of their lines. Excalibur: “That’s Tommy End! But the man standing in the ring isn’t Tommy End’ You what, mate? Jim Ross then followed that up with “Tommy End…or whatever he’s going to be called” Excalibur then says “That’s Malakai Black”. Just amateur hour from the outset.

Indeed. We lived with my gran for a few years when she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and even as a kid it was awful to see the decline. I have all the sympathy in the world for Funk and Orndorff, two guys who put their bodies on the line for years and now seem like they're paying a heavy price for it. Gutting stuff.

To think he was definitely supposed to retire as far back as 1997 (it was also a focal point of Beyond The Mat) and then countless times after that but he couldn’t give it up. So up he popped as Chainsaw Charlie in 1998, ECW in 1999 and then as WCW commissioner in 2000, countless independent shows, went back to WWE again, more independents…

There will be a few fans out there that have legitimately been watching him since the 60s.

Bayley out approximately nine months after sustaining injury while training

Bayley out approximately nine months after sustaining injury while training

WWE Digital has learned that Bayley sustained an injury while training for her WWE Money in the Bank match against Bianca Belair and will be out approximately nine months.

A suitable replacement for the SmackDown Women's Title Match will be announced tonight on FOX.

God, that’s rotten luck, a mere week from going back in front of a Live crowd. Maybe they can use her like The Miz and still have her on TV.
