Can’t strawberry floating believe this is the best match they could come up with for Rhea Ripley. Some people in the upper tiers have actually left.

Some of the crowd chanting ‘Nia’s a wanker”.

Match ended up being as good as you could possibly hope for out of Jax, especially at 15 minutes.

Thought Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate were excellent against the Judgement Day, although there were a couple of quite bad cock ups by the heel team.

They made Drew look really strong by having him fight through the whole pack of the EC, but I wasn't a fan of the finish to that one at all. I mean, Drew is probably the right choice to win it, but he shouldn't have needed Logan Paul's interference to do it.

Was taking Seth and Cody over for a talk show segment the best they could do? They should have had Cody wrestle. Have him lose to Solo after interference from Jimmy to once again show that he's not just going to have to beat Roman, but the whole bloodline. Would be even better if they could have just got the Rock to show up as a distraction but that was probably out of their hands.

Yeah. I think Australia were a bit short changed today. Unless Cody got some reason has a slight injury. Having him face solo with Jimmy there helps build the feud. Seth could have attempted to help Cody as well.

My biggest problem today was every match was predictable. You could tell the winners from just looking at the cards. They've made it so obvious that drew would be winning for the past few weeks fo example.

Also Dunne and Bates tag name is awful. I get that they have a catch wrestling background but the casual WWE fan won't have a clue what that is.

Not officially confirmed as being the new logo, but it’s what AEW are using for their Canada ticketing announcement.

Must surely be one of the best promos of the decade and ties up a few storyline loose ends as well.

This is really feeling like the dawning of the Social Media or Reality Era of WWE, with so much happening across the internet. Over 3 million have seen the video already.

Indeed, fantastic promo, how he kept that up for over 20 mins was amazing. Also what a great spin on it all. Cody truly is the bad guy and screwed the Rock :shifty:

In lines you didn’t think you’d hear on WWE TV: “Now go home and smoke some more crack”

If this is what WWE is now like on FOX, RAW on Netflix might live up to its name again.

For a 30 minute segment, that flew by. Though it does mean the in-ring action goes the way of the dodo, especially on SD where there’s about 40 minutes of commercial breaks to contend with.

at some point someone is going to need to pull Darby Allin aside and tell him no when he comes up with things to do in a match, diving off a ladder through glass is just idiotic With everything he keeps doing, probably be dead before he is 40.

I thought it had to be stunt glass (especially so close to the crowd), but the immediate state of his back after about 10 seconds said otherwise.

Sting's career, ending the PPV with the immortal lines: "I'm getting cues, hold on." Fittingly WCW-esque.

Will Ospreay/Takeshita was phenomenal; World Title and Sting's retirement matches also very enjoyable. Only mistake I thought AEW made was not announcing to the Live crowd that they were Sting's sons. Toni Storm and Deonna Purrazzo surprisingly flat and a bit disappointing. I think the problem was it was just paced too slow. Mariah May really did look like old-school Toni Storm at the start.

Nice of WWE to acknowledge Sting's retirement and match on RAW last night.

Incredible how many people still think ECW was created by Heyman.

EDIT: Not that he doesn't deserver the HOF. He absolutely does. He's been an integral part of pro wrestling for the best part of the last 30 years.

Is there anywhere I can stream AEW Revolution without paying? Don't mind if it's crap quality etc. I would like to see Sting's "last match". But evidently not enough to pay.

Excited to hear what Paul Heyman says at the HOF Ceremony, one of the best promo ever. I feel sorry for the person inducting him as they'll be a pale imitation.

Kevin Kelly has been fired by AEW:

Kevin Kelly, who was part of the AEW Collision commentary team since the launch of the show last summer, has been fired by AEW according to PWTorch sources.

Kelly was removed from the AEW roster page earlier today. AEW taped Collision tonight and Fightful reported that the announce team for Collision was Tony Schiavone and Nigel McGuinness with Kelly nowhere to be seen during the taping.

Kelly’s posts on social media last weekend cost him his job, according to PWTorch sources. Kelly gained a lot of attention when he went on TwitterX last weekend and accused ROH announcer Ian Riccaboni of sabotaging his career and of libel.

“When you go out of your way to intentionally mischaracterize my raising awareness of the global horrors of child trafficking to a fringe conspiracy theory that everyone knows is bulls–t in order to hurt my career and standing in the industry, that at the very least is libelous,” wrote Kelly on X.

Kelly also posted about his dissatisfaction with how he was being used in AEW.

“But the idea of what I bring to the table is lost there because Ian libeled me,” wrote Kelly. “So I sit on the bench, valued by my peers, waiting to get my number called, keep asking why but get pushed aside. It’s okay, because there is no one better than me. Ask the ones that know and they’ll tell you.”

Kelly’s performances were seen as subpar within AEW, including Tony Khan apparently, since Tony Schiavone was called to take over the lead play-by-play role a few months into Collision’s run on TNT.

I can’t believe there’s even drama in this company when it comes to their announcers. I thought Ian Riccaboni was the one that originally recommended Kelly be brought in to begin with, so I don’t know how or why their relationship soured. I’ve seen something or other about Kelly being a “Q” conspiracy theorist as alluded to above, but I don’t know how true that actually is.

And Sasha Banks, who is supposed to be debuting in AEW on Wednesday…

Though she's about to debut for AEW, Mercedes Mone believes she'll be back in WWE one day.

"I know I'm going to be back there [WWE] one day, ok," the former Sasha Banks said while being interviewed on the Kick Rocks wrestling podcast. "So it's not over. Like I said, I have a lot of unfinished business in wrestling in a lot of places."

Mone's line about knowing she'll be back in WWE one day was edited out of the full version of the podcast, but it was included in a clip uploaded to YouTube.

Things You Don’t Say On A Company Press Tour #28.
Nice way of undermining the promotion you’re just about to join as if they’re some sort of stop-gap. I’m sure there’s quite a few people in AEW that clearly feel that way though (Miro immediately springs to mind, and has had a horrible stop/start/stop run since his debut).

I don’t understand why AEW hasn’t explicitly come out and said she’s debuting at “Big Business” because ticket sales so far have been good rather than great. They tried to do a rerun of the CM Punk debut but this time in Boston and it isn’t working out as successfully. If her fans or non AEW viewers knew categorically she was going to be there they may have turned out for it.
