Bandido is absolutely fantastic so I'm expecting his match with Ospreay to be nothing short of incredible.

Interesting. ITV seem to be going 'all in' on AEW :shifty: I really do hope we see the TV show on ITV4.

Yeah, best day so far, not a bad match and the top 2 are probably in my top 3 of the tournament so far, just below Ospreay vs. Romero.

Hoping they give Narita 2 points somewhere down the line, he's incredibly promising.

What they’ve uploaded to YT is also going out on ITV4 tonight at 12:05am and then again tomorrow on ITV.

Chris Jericho also said on his podcast the other day that AEW’s weekly show will be airing on ITV from Autumn, though he didn’t specify the channel, so it could be ITV or ITV4. On TNT, AEW will be airing either Tuesday (which would mean preemptions for NBA) or Wednesday nights at 8pm. ITV at that time is a nothing slot anyway, because between 12-1am it’s a repeat, and 1-3am online gambling. Though I don’t know how much Jackpot 247 brings in viewership wise or how much ITV get in turning it over to gambling. ITV4 makes more sense to me because on that channel it could realistically become their number 1 rated show, and anything above 100,000 would be considered a success (it’s where IMPACT currently hovers on 5Star). It was one of the mistakes ITV made with World Of Sport. What was terrible on ITV on a Saturday night would have been a monumental success had it been getting 600,000 odd on ITV4.

This was in the Wrestling Observer newsletter this week:

The 30-year relationship between WWE and Sky Sports in the U.K. appears to be finished as it is expected the company will announce shortly that it is moving to BT Sports in January.

The move will come three months after what is expected to be AEW’s debut on ITV 4 in October with a regular live television show. The AEW deal is not official, but Cody strongly hinted at it on Being the Elite and Chris Jericho has talked about it on his podcast. ITV 4 will be airing both a Countdown like show for Double or Nothing on 5/24 and the one-hour Buy In show, as well as handle the PPV show in the U.K. market on ITV Box Office. The final deal is said to be not official until TNA decides whether to run the weekly two-hour live show on Tuesday or Wednesday nights. The hope is for ITV 4 to run the show live.

Yeah I had to re-read that a few times before realising it was one of his usual typos. No idea why he never gets someone to proof read his stuff.

I don't think I've seen 1 article yet correctly state how long WWE has been on Sky. Everyone seems to have forgotten The Sky Channel/Sky One in the '80s and early '90s. All American Wrestling, Superstars of Wrestling, PPVs, Main Event, Tuesday in Texas, it was all given away for free before they gradually started bumping it off to Sky Movies+ and Sky Sports. It was even on Eurosport briefly (which was also free!).

I think that's another reason WWE's popularity has declined on TV in recent years, because Sky and WWE got greedy and moved WWE from what was a staple of Sky1 - even with SmackDown's debut in 2000 - to premium subscriptions channels and PPV, and now there's just RAW Hits (which doesn't turn up until Sunday, so you may as well just watch the YouTube highlights). It's only recently they've at least moved more onto Sky Sports Mix.

Now its even worse with BT Sports, because the wrestling that's more adult orientated is all accessible for free. And RAW and SmackDown currently suck, which obviously doesn't help.

I enjoyed Eagles Vs Douki too, mainly because I'm a sucker for some bleeding. :shifty:

I worked from home on Wednesday because tendonitis in my foot flared up. When I realised it was the three Korukuen shows this week, my recovery suddenly took the rest of the week :shifty: Was a bit worried that these double block nights would cause burnout, but they've been amazing.

Ordered DON with FITE TV after discovering it on my TV. I was going to go with TV Player but replays via on-demand seem more accessible on FITE should there be tech issues watching Live.

I like Eagles but can't get into Douki whatsoever. It doesn't help that he's seemingly strawberry floated up that slingshot DDT most of the times he's hit it  and I find the lame brawling so dull, Suzuki he ain't.

I like him because of his indie sleaze style! He's obviously way behind the other workers, but I've enjoyed his matches in one way or another and I guess that's all I can ask of him.

Hyped for Double or nothing, that before the bell video is fantastic, major UFC vibes off it. Think I’ll order it off of Box Office for old times sake, in keeping with the pre WWE network and actually being excited about a wrestling show again feeling I have.
