Still don't know why they can't put it on Thursday or Friday evening at least. Complete :fp: if it's due to ITV and not the FiteTV deal.

Very much a name from a bygone era isn't it? Should have started by just calling it AEW and then let a name for the show come out of it organically.

Extremely low price at least, but that excuse only works for whatever ad spacing has already been sold off (presumably due to this whole deal being late). I’ve never heard anything like it. ‘We can’t air Live international programming due to adverts’ is a complete nonsense. Does sound to me like ITV would rather air teleshopping and Ideal World (which was previously filled by LIVE gambling). Brings in ITV a fortune but I have no idea how far in advance ITV agrees such things.

This isn’t like the old Channel 4 days where they still wanted to get their adverts in despite airing PPV events, then realised that didn’t work, also hated the level of violence, so then decided to put them on a 50 minute time delay. Or ITV and Formula 1... :fp:

For all the criticism Sky get for how much they charge, strawberry float they know what they’re doing. For whatever the reasons, ITV routinely manages to show that they go together with sport like gooseberry fool on bread.

What this has also shown is that AEW isn’t very good with PR.

I'll probably try a few streams like watch wrestling and see how it goes, but that's a cheap fite TV deal so I might do that to remove the hassle. As long as you can get it on demand cus I'm not watching it live!

Do Fite have an iPad app or PS4/XB1 app?

Yes, there's an iPad app. PS4 users need to watch through the web browser by logging in to Fite.tv. On Xbox you need the iOS or Android app, and then once open select "TV Connect Wizard" from the Account menu. It should then automatically discover and connect to the Xbox One and show it on the TV.

Those with an Android TV from Sony can download the app from the Google Play Store, though it's a bit temperamental.

Paying for PPVs in the UK is a push. Paying for the tv show is a huge strawberry floating push. Sunday morning is great for kids but gooseberry fool for us. It will be heavily edited too. AEW have screwed the pooch with this. Especially after blabbing about how much they value the UK market.

The "We can’t broadcast live free to air in the UK due to different ad break schedules than in US" from Tony Khan is horsesshit when ITV could easily just fill the extra ad breaks they aren't allowed to show due to Ofcom by just showing a live feed of the ring, or even short promos to fill the time.

I wasn't planning on watching it live on ITV4 anyway, I've only got Freeview which doesn't have ITV4HD and the picture quality of the normal channel is really bad, looks like it's barely SD at times. I was hoping that it would be available on ITV Hub in the morning but that obviously won't be happening with the FITE deal. I've got enough credit on FITE TV got get the AEW Pass thing for 4 months so I'll do that unless ITV have been banana splits and block people from using credit on that like they do with the AEW PPVs. Won't be hard to find a HD stream live or HD download in the morning if not.

Had they not gone in there earlier this year saying they had this amazing best ever UK TV deal compared to WWE, and simply just announced that it's airing outside of the US on Fite with highlights on ITV it wouldn't have led to quite as much disappointment.

It's of course great to be on free TV, but this is actually worse than IMPACT WRESTLING's deal, which airs first on Showcase, on a short delay on 5Star at 11pm on Friday nights, is front and centre on the My5 app (which has just this week been upgraded), and replays repeatedly throughout the week also on Showcase. The PPVs meanwhile remain on Fite.

To think you can put out a TV-14 programme on a Sunday morning in the kids/politics slot is absolutely moronic on the part of ITV. The asinine logic of not even going with the highlights show on ITV1 and the unedited 2 hours on 4. Talk about either not caring, having zero clue as to the target audience, or they've gone and done a Channel 4 and think they've purchased late 80s WWF.

On the positive front, £4 is a very low price though, and at least we can now actually watch it Live without having to put up with ITV's BULLSHIT. I'm sure many WWE fans would love to be able to just watch RAW and SmackDown without having to pay for an entire sports sub.

It does sound like ITV just can't really be arsed.

That should be their strapline for the whole network.

You'd stop watching an entire promotion for one guy you don't like?

They’ve loaded the show up so much I’m surprised they’ll be able to fit it all in. Lesnar/Kingston though is going all of 2 minutes, isn’t it.

I’m going with viewership of 4 million (which would be double that of its current number on USA).

Very effective start to RAW tonight. And the pyro is back!

But LEDs, LEDs EVERYWHERE. :dread:
