I like jericho but he was packing a few too many pounds in his recent NJPW appearances. I expect him though to be in top shape by the time AEW is up and running though.

Also on jericho I didn’t realise till last week that his contract is for three years and he says for more money than WWE ever paid him. Shows AEWs intent.

WWE Hall-of-Famer Jeff Jarrett is returning to the company in a producer role.

The news was first reported today by 1Wrestling and PWInsider, and was also confirmed Monday night by our Dave Meltzer.

A day after returning to a WWE ring as the second entrant in the Royal Rumble, Jarrett was on Raw Monday flanked by WWE SmackDown writer and producer Brian "Road Dogg" James in a segment with Elias. PWInsider reported that Jarrett's role will also be an on-screen one, but Meltzer couldn't confirm.

Jarrett joins former TNA jack of all trades Sonjay Dutt and Shane Helms as producers, the latter of which just re-joined WWE as reported by PWInsider earlier Monday.

Are WWE shitting themselves that much over AEW they're just signing people willy nilly?

Jeff Jarrett could potentially be a good little fued for Elias though. How long until extreme rules where they could have a guitar match?

Dean Ambrose to Leave after Wrestlemania

https://www.cagesideseats.com/wwe/2019/ ... lemania-35

That would be huge signing for AEW.

Wow that is big news. Doesn't bother me as I'm not really bothered about Ambrose anymore. More interested to see what happens to Renee young.

On Jarrett. I have no problem seeing him on screen occasionally. I really don't mind short runs of returning old timers. There was nothing wrong with that slot on raw this week, throwing in road Dogg who is always good on the mic and gets the crowd going worked really well.

WWE have officially announced that Ambrose isn’t going to stay after ‘Mania. Bit strange, especially if they keep him on TV until then, maybe he’ll go all CM Punk and get so over he’ll stay?
Although I really hope he goes to AEW, very excited about that place starting up! Hopefully they get a good TV over here.

It is highly unusual for WWE to comment on it, especially so early. Ambrose looked like he about to say something about his future on RAW but was interrupted by Jax.

If this was a storyline the Brian Pillman-esque comparisons would be even more apt.

Really like Bryan's new belt! I'm impressed they are actually decently backing up his new gimmick. I remember when he got the no chant over a few years ago and he was playing a similar character then.

Bryans new belt looks amazing, the new DB is hilarious.

Hideo Itami asked for and granted release. The flood gates are open.

Don't think my opinion of Taichi is going to change. A fan of the entrance (major Castlevania feels) and Miho Abe, but not so much his wrestling.

I hope Takagi was selling and isn't injured. :(

SmackDown Live did its worst ever audience last night on USA Network (even worse than Christmas). Really dying on their arse now, never mind about AEW turning up. And this is The Road To WrestleMania.

There always seems to be an excuse for these bad ratings as well (oh its snowing, it’s summer, the NFL is on, the NBA, Trump speech, election night etc).

SD is doing worse than IMPACT WRESTLING did during the beginning of the Live Hogan era, which had 2.2 million viewers on its debut against RAW.

I still find it really odd that Fox and USA network are willing to pay three times the amount of the current contract.

WWE doing their best to kill Becky's momentum. Have her apologise and screw her anyway then telegraph a move to muddy the main event people have wanted to see for months. :fp:

They’re repeating the Stone Cold storyline, just hope it’s not a triple threat but I think it will be.

Speaking of Wrestlemania, what exactly is the pull this year? Outside of Lynch/Ronda, what’s to be excited about?
